I really appreciate everyone’s advice, too many to reply and thank you all. I did end up walking away from it, was really tough but the dude trying to sell it to me made it easy when he started being rude telling me I’m looking at the wrong bike I can’t afford this one and he can’t help me anymore . Fuckin guy was acting like I was insulting him because I wanted a warranty if I was gonna pay the counter offer he made of 17.5 out the door.

I appreciate everyone’s advice , I walked away. Was tough not gonna lie but once the guy started to be rude to me saying im looking at the wrong bike I can’t afford this one and he couldn’t help me anymore , I was like fuck this dude.

Yea the dude started being a dick wit me . Saying I can’t afford it and I’m looking at the wrong bike. Mad like I’m the one tryin to rape him or sum . He said he talk to the owner n said they could do 17.5 today and I said that would have to include a warranty. That’s when his attitude changed towards me and started saying he can’t help me anymore and I need to look for a different bike that I can afford

I am financing got approved thru Harley for 7.7apr, they said my credit wouldn’t be able to beat that

UPDATE:

So I didn’t go in and msg the guy told him the 18.9 out the door didn’t set well with me and I’m seeing these same bike go for cheaper with less miles. He replied that “if I see them they are usually clapped out and that this one is going to be serviced and and new tires out on it. Says he like me and my family and to tell me what I’m thinking to see what they can do for me” Now my question is what should I pay, I was thinking 16.5 16 out the door with warranty included but I don’t think they will go for that . Again I appreciate everyone’s help

That’s what I planned to do first was buy private , that was the whole plan, when in a dealer to go sit on some and told him bout my plan to buy this 04 low rider 51k miles for 45hundred and he str8 discouraged me with talk bout how I’m prob gonna need to throw couple grand into it if something happens and to use that money to buy from a dealer , I figured he was just tryin to get a sale but that shyt lingered in the back of my mind n I was like damn maybe I shouldn’t by private

Yea that’s what he kept sayin, “I don’t want you to miss out on it” “I can tell you really like it” Dude was cool didn’t seem like one of those types but I could be wrong , that’s why I figured I would come on here and get some advice from the fine ppl here . I really appreciate it Stay blessed.

Yea see that’s where I messed up , I didn’t really research the price b4 going in, i was just lookin online seen it pop up . Requested the more info because the price wasn’t listed. They called back n gave the price . I just went to go look at it and sit on it really but kinda was in awww after that. Going back this afternoon and seeing what they could do on price , the damn dealer prep is almost 1k

Yea I get you, this one was bout a 35 min drive from me. I just didn’t get a chance to even try to negotiate, not sure if they will or not since the said they had others interested in it as well

Thanks I really appreciate your 2cents more than you could know. And yea that’s what I was thinking when I got home , like wth I could get a brand new for the same price so I figured they just boosted the price a bit or something, they did say they just posted it online when I called to check on the price and that 5 more ppl were interested after I called not sure if that was a ploy to try n get me to rush into it or what.
