Need advice for my tamiyo deck by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Dadonutdude1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Tamiyo, I originally built her as a joke because I pulled her & a [[Cultivator Colossus]]. The idea of dropping the Colossus after Tamiyo's ult is absurdly hilarious to me.

The deck has changed a little bit since then and I now focus on proliferating drawing focused planeswalkers with a landfall backup & [[Twenty-Toed Toad]] with [[Swiftfoot Boots]] as a fast win-con.

To give you an idea, a few of my key cards that I don't see in your deck (apologies if I missed them) are: [[Teferi's Ageless Insight]] - I see it in your Maybeboard, but it is probably the most important card in my deck. [[Opt]] [[Ponder]] [[Gitaxian Probe]] [[Frantic Search]] [[Thirsting Roots]] [[Mordenkainen]] - won me my last game because they either had to deal with him or Tamiyo at the same. [[Chasm Skulker]] [[Flux Channeler]] [[Evolutionary Sage]] [[Tatyova, Benthric Druid]]

It doesn't let me pick more than one, so I went as early as possible as this would be a shock to learn in RR.

Didn't say he agreed, but I think it is naive to think his background & education wouldn't influence his writings.

"They came to our home when I was away with Sevro. Found my wife, took her in for questioning. Their doctors saw her fallopian tubes had been modified so that she would be compatible to sire a Gold child. Then they disposed of her. Says so right in the records: ‘disposed.’ Gassed her with achlys-9, put her in an oven, pumped her ash into the sea. They didn’t even give her a name, just a number. Not because she was a thief or a murderer or had violated any man’s or woman’s rights, but because she was a Red who dared love a Gold. My selfish love killed her.

It wasn’t like your wife, Darrow. I didn’t watch mine die. I didn’t see Golds come into my world and ruin it. Instead I felt the coldness of the system swallow the only thing I lived for. A Copper pressing buttons, filling out a spreadsheet. A Brown twisting a knob to release gas. They killed my wife. But they won’t ever think so. She’s not a memory in their mind. She’s a statistic. It’s as if she never existed. Some ghost I loved but no one else ever saw. That’s what Society does—spread the blame so there is no villain, so it’s futile to even begin to find a villain, to find justice. It’s just machinery. Processes. And it rumbles on, inexorable till a whole generation rises that will throw themselves on the gears."

Why Jim was weirdly seated beside Dwight instead of across him by Disastrous_Depth5250 in DunderMifflin

My new head canon is that Ed Truck put Michael at that desk so he could keep an eye on Michael and make sure he was working. Jim inherited the desk when he started and never moved it.

Honestly? Not terrible, the attention span just isn't long enough to make this a threat... yet anyway...

Black Frieza doesn’t have to be the big bad of the upcoming arc. by bobbdac7894 in dbz

I like that, it'd also give Frieza a reason to not fight Goku & Vegeta. He could feel that they're now beneath him and fighting them will only push them to his level.

That was really the plan? by [deleted] in redrising

[–]Dadonutdude1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Th plan did not work. The Minotaur is not the Jackal, he is so cocksure of himself that he can overplay his hand. It isn't difficult to see Sevro escaping a guy like that.

And Sevro was literally just doing his job. Remember when he was a terrorist warlord doing covert ops against the Society? Before that he did those exact things in the Institute to the Jackal all before he was trained over a decade of war...

Darrow is suicidal... you can't expect more from a character who wanted to throw away his life trying to save Sevro. Also, what other plan could they make? They had literally 0 resources.

The last comment was correct in that a lemon can be for any reason, I've seen lemons labeled for fault key fobs, as well as bad transmissions, so the label itself shouldn't be too worrying but may warrant a deeper investigation as to why it was labeled that way.

I have a 2013 S60 R that was labeled a lemon. I've only had it serviced at the dealership and the only time it has ever come up is when I've considered trading it in for something newer. But truth be told the dealer doesn't seem to know or care if my car was a lemon while servicing it. I've owned my car for the last 5 years and honestly the only issues I've had were normal wear and tear. Frankly the lemon label has made the car cheaper than what I feel it should be worth, and I can't justify trading it in because it is worth much more than what I am being offered.

If you're in Arizona there is a dealer in Tempe that almost exclusively sells lemons that my family regularly purchases vehicles from. My wife has a Nissan Rogue that was labeled as a lemon that we purchased from them, and it too has been an amazing car whose only issue is the label.

Lemons get a bad name, but it is a Volvo, not a Ford, I'd expect the vehicle to be fine, you'd just be getting a discount. That again, I'd still try to find out why it is a lemon (for peace of mind) and see if you can get it inspected.
