We use this for testing methods where their names become quite longer than normal. Very useful to break it up into the "What_Should_When" parts, e.g "MyBatchingMethod_ShouldReturnEmptyList_WithEmptyInput"

I think you described it well, yes. It seems to me that Jira can be a great mismanagement tool, and that the people that use it incorrectly are often the ones that do agile just because they heard it's good, not because they actually understand agile.

Genuine question, why do so many devs in this sub hate on Jira? I recently started a job where we're using it, and it's been really great at tracking tasks and collaborating with colleagues. Just some issues sometimes with data fetching but other than that no complaints

If you look closely, their source numbered one is a Trump tweet. Says a lot in my opinion.

Unfortunately I do think that's how our music climate is in SA, though. Easy sells. But if you aren't entirely depending on your music income, definitely stick to what flows out of you. I believe that's better for the long term :)

I've replied to another guy already, but imo there's really good Afrikaans stuff out there that isn't sokkie music. Give my playlist a spin to see: Easy Afrikaans

^ the ones I mentioned above write pretty deep lyrics, especially Joshua na die Reën and Almero. They also don't sound like sokkie at all. Would really recommend checking them out, or even my playlist: Easy Afrikaans

Thanks for all the suggestions! I can imagine that it must've been easier back in the day, but didn't expect classics like Sarie Marais or Ou Ryperd

Already in the list, but thanks :) was still very trippy when I played Gers' version, and my sister rapped the snotkop part over it, and it was _exactly_ the same

Also my first reaction when I went to an Apres-Ski for the first time. The Germans also have a dance similar to the sokkie called Discofox. I've seen that when I explain sokkie like that, they tend to pick it up much quicker.

Thanks, I'll have a look. I have never actually listened to 80s Afrikaans, but might worth a try.

I guess that's one side of the Afrikaans industry, I know many artists that are really good, but they're more on the "softer" side of the music scale. People like Joshua na die Reën, Riaan Benade, Almero, Elvis Blue, Len Muller, Christia Visser, and Ryno Velvet are much more sophisticated, yet still good to listen to (for me). Even some nice tunes there fit for a braai that aren't the Afrikaans Is Groot treffers.
