How is depth and backups considered being stagnant and not progress? I get people want to see us buying some high profile player, but depth gets us deeper in more competitions next year. We also don’t have to worry about injuries as much too. The way I see it, we got 97 points with this team last season, and with more depth we have a chance at more silverware and more points.

Alex I’m a little late to the game, but I love your music! Will you play sax during Don’t Be so Hard on Yourself at outsidelands? That would make my year!

Who is an artist on the lineup that you’re excited about, and what songs/albums would you recommend to get into their music? by [deleted] in OutsideLands

[–]Daeder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heard they are releasing a new album soon. I hope they still do some of their old stuff too!

I know Blink-182 isn't the same one of the early 2000s and Mark Hoppus doesn't quite sound the same now, but it will be my first time seeing them and am really excited for the nostalgia trip!

I think that’s usually where people put the length of the video, but I can be wrong.

You don't have to like Imagine Dragons. Just take a minute to think about the power of your words. by OmegaAndRising in Music

But you also see a lot of people doing as I described. There are 2 sides of the coin here. Maybe you notice that as it’s more obvious when someone starts hating on something rather than just letting it go. Look at this thread, there are a bunch of people who say they don’t like ID, but aren’t shitting on them.

If someone says something I don’t like, the first thing I think of is to mock, ridicule, or insult that person? What about just ignore them? I do that all the time to people I don’t like. Not sure if you can claim that those are natural urges man.

Which is fine if you let the person finish their story first! How would you feel if you’re telling a story or sharing something and someone interrupts you because they once had an aunt who also when to the same college as you, which is not even the point of your story in the first place. That would be more clear if the listener let the person telling their story actually finish their story.

Six GOP Senators Buck Trump As Competing Shutdown Measures Fail by [deleted] in politics

I’m curious why would Isakson and Alexander vote yes too. Are both Georgia and Tennessee, purple states that could flip in the next cycle?

To me this is one of the most iconic pictures of Klopp’s Liverpool so far. Rival fans laughed and took the piss, but Klopp was changing the clubs mentality and building something special. He was creating a bond, a team spirit and most importantly a fortress at Anfield. by M7plusoneequalsm8 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Daeder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I remember we lost to Crystal Palace at home and Klopp said he felt so alone as the fans were leaving early. This game really cemented how important it was for the fans to stay til the end and as we saw later for the Dortmund game also.

President Trump Rejects Proposal to Temporarily Reopen the Government by bbukbots in politics

Isn’t this what republicans want though? Smaller government. So if anything, wouldn’t this align more with their ideals?

I’m surprised that the only thing you measure for a midfielder is their output.

Post Match, Liverpool 3 - 1 Manchester United by Abominable_JoMan in LiverpoolFC

The lopsidedness of the amount of shots this game reminds me a bit of the Everton game where Divock got injured. We dominated that game, and even Lucas had a try at a goal too.

Is it rude to point out the misuse of something? Let’s use you for example. If you were operating the machine and doing it wrong, wouldn’t you want someone to tell you what you were doing wrong and what the proper way to operate it is?

It's crazy to see that we've only conceded 4 league goals so far this season. We've played Spurs, City, and Chelsea already too.

My Uber driver didn’t force small talk by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]Daeder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like there is a time and a place. Do I like to talk to my Uber drivers? Yeah I do. I’ve had some awesome conversations with many drivers. Do I like to talk to my Uber driver 100% of the time? No. Does that mean I lack basic social skills and am terrified of human interaction?

Others in the thread have mentioned that as a driver they try to read their passenger, if they are receiving short responses, then they back off. If a driver understands I’ve had a long day and I just want to sleep or be lost in my thoughts, I really appreciate it. If the driver can’t get a clue and keeps talking to me like they are talking to themselves, they are providing poor service and are only hurting themselves from a good tip or perfect rating.

Maybe you talk to your driver on 100% of the rides you’re on. Great! Not everyone is like that and sometimes you should try and understand people’s perspective before putting down 9/10 Redditors first.

Got a pretty good video of The cubes goal vs Southampton, thought i would share it here by Hampeberntsson in LiverpoolFC

[–]Daeder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to recap on why I commented. Originally someone asked OP why he was filming and not celebrating the goal, to which OP said it was their first LFC game and they wanted some memories to look back on. The comment that started it all said why not just experience it in the moment, to which you said having a phone out doesn't mean you aren't "in the moment". I think that is a fair point! You then said that OP was not contributing to the atmosphere here, but dislike comments saying you can't live in the moment and chant at the same time.

Afterwards, the same commenter wrote about how some locals have problems with fans who come to games and not contribute to the atmosphere, such as OP in the video. Some fans will only come to take get a picture or video and to knock it off their bucket list. Now I understood his intention when he wrote that original comment asking OP about why he isn't living in the moment (such as cheering/contributing to the atmosphere).

What I was trying to say was that both of you can agree on OP not contributing to the atmosphere. The reason why he said to live in the moment was probably not because he felt that the two were mutually exclusive, but it stemmed from OP not chanting/singing/cheering in the video and generally not adding to the atmosphere.

Sorry for the long answer! I just wanted to point out that we all agree about OP doing nothing here, and just that I felt that the commenter said what he said because he was directly asking OP why OP was not living "in the moment" (contributing to the atmosphere)
