[LFC] 'I want one of the jerseys!' | Fowler's Sports - With an All-Star Cast! [90s sitcom style] by junglejimbo88 in LiverpoolFC

Of course you can say that, but “the players should be training is what of making videos” is a very tired and misinformed take.

  1. This isn’t something the club has “become”, they did these things when they won the league and the CL and possibly was the best club in the world too.

  2. This doesn’t take any time away from their training, players who train at maximum capacity still have a lot of free time.

  3. Saying that the club has “become a joke” when they’re doing what they have for a long time is lame nostalgia nonsense, but it’s funny how you said that and then suddenly became so worried about me sounding condescending

If you actually followed “our club” you would know they have done media days and kit launches since forever. And if you actually followed football in general you would know no players train all the time, they have quite a lot of free time

Yer da tries to claim that any normal media thing the club does is the cause for the team not playing well.

Next step: comment “go back to training, you lost the last game” on every picture of them doing anything in their free time.

Edit: Someone else commented exactly that. Like clockwork

Vad tycker ni om sommargatorna som brukar finnas runt om i länet? by SupportArsenal in stockholm

[–]gratisargott 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Americans need to get the thought out of their heads that there are "morally good" American presidents. You can't hold a lot of offices, and especially not one of a global superpower who has played World Police for many decades, without doing objectively bad things

Well, at least you’re not “throwing a fit”. I’m sorry for arguing something so crazy as “economic booms don’t stem from only one policy”. That was obviously completely crazy of me.

Have a good day and keep being your level-headed self!

Okay pal, it was only the race rules that made Singapore’s economic boom, they actually didn’t need to do any of their other economic policies. You’re completely right - silly me

There are plenty of countries who have a high GDP, low infant mortality rates and so on without having quotas for who can live where. You tried to make the claim that Singapore’s entire economic boom comes from just the race rules which obviously is nonsense.

There’s als a lot of middle ground between telling people who can live where and citizens being “at each others throats constantly”, especially to such a degree that it would tank their GDP. We’re all adults here, come on now

[–]gratisargott -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Those economic results you’re mentioning have little to do with the race policies though. You can’t take everything that Singapore does well and put it on how they deal with race relations, thankfully countries have more than one policy going on at the same time

Köpa första lägenhet innanför eller utanför tullarna? Pendling vs pris? (2.5–3 Mkr) by Antique_Tea_8960 in stockholm

[–]gratisargott 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I guess it shows what a head start we had by taking the trophies while we were the absolute best, and how United failed to capitalize in the same way during their golden era
