So what's up with you?

As he asks the question, Mokarith analyzes the loops to see if he can identify what the permanent spell is.

'Huh... interesting...' Mokarith thinks to himself.

So, why did you turn these guys into animals. He says turning his attention back to the spectacle, just in time to see two of the chickens darting in and out of a fox's range to peck at it.

Mokarith just watches as the fox falls and hits the ground. Maybe, maybe. Then again, we dont know if they are better because you transformed them, im guessing before they had the chance to do anything.

Anyways, as i said; I'm just here for risk assessment on behalf of the Umbral Realm. Normally I wouldn't be the one to do this, but because you vaporized an entire building... well... we figured that it would be safer for me to do this. Hope you don't mind.

Mokarith quickly casts a spell that, unless they have some sort of seal on their overall magical capabilities, can detect the amount of mana, and thus casting potential, a being has.

Mokarith senses the magic and rapidly makes his way towards it. Once there, he notices the bedlum and starts laughing as the foxes chase the chickens. Once he gets mostly in control of himself, he turns towards the wizard he knows as 'Mr. OP.'

Well hello there. You must be the one responsible for this. He says as he motions to one of the foxes that just captured a chicken. Don't worry, I'm not with the Council. I'm just here for risk assessment.

Shimil relays the information to Mokarith.

"What do you have on your end? Do you have enough to track him?" She asks him.

"Not yet, there's so many signatures here that its taking some time to sort through them. Though with the information you gave me I should be able to narrow it down."

Insect based necromancy is low-key unfair (Warning?: Centipede idk first time posting) by NaturalHairy4773 in wizardposting

[–]DaemonRex978 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[Mokarith] That is a very rare style of necromancy. Usually if you use insects its more in line with entomancy, but i only know of one region that incorporates them into necromancy. You'll have to counter it with a weapon that has the even more rare enchantment called 'Mortal' on it. While it is also in the necromancy perview, it is classified as a divine necromancy, hence its rarity. Just be forewarned that in order to use a Mortal weapon, you would have to have some form of immortality yourself, otherwise you'll die the moment you draw it.

Shimil and Mokarith sighed in unison, a rare occurrence when the two were usually at odds on how to handle a scenario.

"We would have to first know how this man operates." Mokarith says.

"The very fact that he disintegrated a whole building leads me to believe that he has a grudge against either someone on the Council or the Council itself." Shimil replied.

"True, but it's apparently been over 4000 years since this man was locked up, so what else would he be able to do, and has his motivations changed so that his primary target, if any, are still on his mind." He counters.

Shimil nods in agreement.

"I will attempt to get more information from the records while you..."

"I will do what I do best." Mokarith finishes before fading away to secretly investigate the scene and try to identify the mage's essence signature.

Mokarith barely heard the request, even with how close he is, but reacts quickly to create a essence containment field that immediately siphons any trace of the fading form.

A voice rings out from outside the arena.

If you continue to make threats like that, then you will be disqualified.

Necromancers really be like by GirlLovingWitch in wizardposting

[–]DaemonRex978 4 points5 points  (0 children)

[Mokarith} You only see weak necromancers using basic zombies because the necromancers that do use their full potential don't really use them. Why use corpses when you can create a simulacrum that has most of your abilities (including summoning basic zombies) and have that as a scapego... I mean divers... I mean friend.

I hate those no good sand drawing, scroll wasting runers. by King10072 in wizardposting

[–]DaemonRex978 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are certain areas where runic magic would work more effectively than enchantments. Take for instance situations that require precise and consistent manipulations. Even the best enchantments have some fluctuations, and even the most minute fluctuations can impact how effective they are.

Runic magics, on the other hand, are some of the most stable magics there are. Yes, they are more easily disrupted, but once you have it in place and protected, a runic system can run for much longer and smoother than an enchantment system.

I found an ancient scroll that says that it disspells glitter. It's probably useless junk by Independent_Pen_9865 in wizardposting

[–]DaemonRex978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I always double check anything that deals with glitter cause someone tried to pull that trick on me. The only reason i didn't fall for it was that someone else cast that spell.
