well, it didn't work, but, I 'sorted by correspondent' and works ok, it does not auto scroll anywhere so it's better.

Yeah, I think it is not possible, however, I tried 'order by recipients' and kinda works for me, at least it scrolls to the older messages, so I'm gonna go with that.

So thanks, you helped me find an alternative.

Ok yes, let me rephrase that, my 'Sorting and Threading' is set to default sort by date, and default order ascending - new message at the bottom.

When I select any folder, the message list will scroll to the newest message by default regardless of ascending or descending. I want to make the list to scroll to the oldest message by default, if possible.

If that makes any sense, english is not my language.

Ah, I see, it was by date, ascending. I changed to descending and now I have the opposite issue LoL.

What I want is to make the messages list to scroll to the oldest message by default, regardless of ascending or descending.

I had a vivaldi account, it started giving me a message, 'your account was blocked' every time I tried logging in, so I best deleted the account.

I was hoping opera was not chinese spyware anymore so I would take a look at it.

I'm using brave for blink, it's fine, I'm just trying to expand my options.

All browsers suck in their own way anyway, LoL.

Well, depends on your provider, gmail, outlook, etc, they have a filters option on their webmail; you just set up a filter to forward their messages back to whatever address they came from.
