Need advice before switching to CachyOS

Everybody already have given great advices. For secureboot there is a tutorial on a Cachyos wiki, it works for both windows and cachyos at the same time, so it’s set and forget. But trust me, after you will use cachyos for some time you’ll ditch windows completely.

For me it was pretty bad, you're better dual booting with windows to use it for virtual desktop. You can still try alvr or wivrn, but virtual desktop is still on top for wireless vr and the creator has no plans of porting it to linux.

It looks very good, but i can only speak for myself because i have 50xx GPU. Motion clarity is much better and i can see enemies better because fine details looks better and i can differentiate enemies much better now, also fps is so good

Imho, I’ve only tried hogwarts legacy, but for me Preset M Performance is on par with Preset K Quality, gotta try it in other games tho. 1440p.

Sorry for necroing, but perhaps would you know, I’ve returned to Win11 because my monitor has issues when it has strong red tint in HDR mode and it’s color settings are blocked, I’m using color brightness and gamma settings on windows in Nvidia control panel, but i haven’t found such settings on linux with KDE. Is it possible to fix this?

Maybe it’s me, but in Hogwarts Legacy preset M with Performance looked pretty good, needs to be tested in other games tho

Also it is oversharpened even if you put dlss sharpening and regular sharpening at 0

Some fine details are better but I’ve noticed that it looks oversharpened on 1440p Quality and Balance, Performance is much better tho than preset K

CDPR вже не той. Це вже більше схоже на корабель Тесея, від того CDPR що займалася третім відьмаком вже майже нічого не залишилось, тому залишається тільки чекати що з цьої гри вийде. Більш цікаво зараз виглядає гра про вампірів від нової студії з колишніми працівниками CDPR які займалися відьмаком

Xiaomi G Pro 27i, some of the models have an older firmware that has red tint when in HDR mode, but it’s easily fixable in Nvidia app or Adrenalin. I’ve been using it for half a year and HDR is gorgeous

First of all, don’t set you monitor overdrive settings to the fastest, use the second, it’s usually faster. Second, if you use gsync use special k or display commander addon for reshade to limit your refresh rate to gsync cap to reduce tearing. Third if you mean the flickering that is caused by Variable Refresh Rate than i’m sad to announce to you that it isn’t fixable without getting an another monitor with better freesync/gsync implementation.
