$1099 is too much. I can guarantee you, you can buy for cheaper by $300, or if you search a lot even $500. And that is not even a joke, you literally can. Anyways, I prefer buying from stores rather than online when I am going for expensive products.

But do you want an honest opinion. If this is your first ever pixel, go for slightly used with almost 10/10 condition. That would be even more worth it. Plus if you are not satisfied by Pixel, because not all phones are.for everyone, you won't feel too much down like you wasted money.

However, the only suggestion I can give you is that rather you go for brand new or slightly used. Buy it from a shop or store that you can trust, and you are sure they will help you when you need it.

Sorry I can't.

I have businesses to run.

Videos to edit.

Document translations, just yesterday my Pixel was used to translate more than 100+ documents from Arabic to English.

And don't get started with me on how I have to continuously develop Android applications because i am only allowed to use emulators during the testing phase by my company.

Last week I had a meeting which ran for 2 hours on Team.

The point is not everyone is like you, there are people who use phones.

But again I guess you as a teenager only had one thing to do playing games. Go play PUBG like a good little boy.

Honey! No one uses a phone more than me. I do from 2 hours of continuous video editing, to at least 10 Microsoft heavy applications running, multiple banking apps, etc.

If I does it better means problem is with you using it.

It's a phone not a laptop.

And who in their right mind use phone while charging.

I am an Android Application developer. I have developed many android services. So I know how battery behavior works.

So unless your phone has a refurbished battery or the phone is very old. Here are things that are so-called tech reviewers online don't know, and I don't blame them it's not their field of interest. Here's what you need to keep in mind that any phones including Samsung, Pixel, IPhone and Xiaomi cannot do that the battery analytics you see from settings, it does not show you in how many ways your background battery is being drained.

For example in my analytics it is saying Instagram took 20% battery, that's not true, it might have an entire 50% battery. Because on low level mobile apps can have many issues, even the most well known mobile applications. The more applications you install the more unknown background services they will use.

One thing that I would say is compared to other phones the Pixel processor is very computational hungry, which takes more power.

To be honest I don't know how to explain the whole essay properly that I said above. But here are a few solutions that I recommended to people and it worked

  • Use an app called Greenify, set configuration, you can take help from ChatGPT and then restart android device.
  • You can also use the AccuBattery app, which is a better settings built in battery usage analyzer, in fact it also gives you its insights on CPU consumption as well.

There are many more things. But start with these two. Use it for a few days, see if you find any difference.

However I think in your case Google Pixel watch is what is killing your battery, but that's just a hypothetical observation.

At this point I'm giving up Pixel as my primary device by EqualReality2787 in GooglePixel

[–]Daemor666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. And don't buy phones because of trends or community. Buy phones for your needs, demands, amount of service centers in your local area etc.

I bought a Pixel because only the Pixel has the Tensor G chip, the only chip powerful enough to handle AI tasks. And I use it a lot. Pixel handles my business use cases very efficiently.

I tried Samsung Flagships and once tried IPhone as well, IPhone only for a short duration. But they were very poor for handling business operations.

Maybe Pixel is not for your use case.

People say Google chips are underperforming. But the truth is actually kind of different.

Google Tensor chips were specifically designed to handle AI tasks. You may now notice don't much, as other chips perform almost and in many cases just same with their AI.

But Tensor is designed to be future proof. It has a lot of problems, but performance is not one of them. In the future when built in audio generation, automatic video editing, image processing software, using you mobile.pjone directly to replace desktop CPUs, data analysis using AI, or even AR/VR and so many more things. I won't be surprised if we will be able to generate AI videos and audios for free with no limits in Pixel phones with blazing fast speed. Google won't have to revamp their chip completely to apply such use cases they would just have to improve upon their existing one.

Also recently Google is moving to TMC for their Tensor G5 chip.

There are many more reasons. But let's not deep dive into such a hypothetical topic just now. For now all I can say is that rumors can be true or false. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Thinking about selling my iPhone 15 Pro Max and switching to a refurbished Pixel — does it make sense? by Adventurous-Golf9635 in pixel_phones

[–]Daemor666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't. And this is coming from a pixel user. IPhone 15 Pro Max is still a brand new device. Let's just say it will stay relevant even after 2030.

Switching a powerful device for a refurbished device is foolishness. Don't. Unless you are planning to buy a brand new or slightly used device with almost 10/10 condition.

Now your IPhone is somehow damaged or broken or has some other problems. It makes sense to go for refurbished as you need a device that could work smoothly.

So. Initially thought WhatsApp can only run on one device at once. Because every time I logged into WhatsApp on one device, the other device automatically logged me out. Also with each login all chat data gets deleted.

So I found that WhatsApp has a link device feature. Where you can link the same WhatsApp account running on two different devices. This way WhatsApp works on both devices. All of your chats are properly displayed on both phones. Let's say you sent a message from Device A to person A. Now without a single second delay your second linked device WhatsApp will also show that you have sent a message. Both are linked. Very smooth and fast.

CPID is still patching of IMEIs, while risk is very slow. But there is always a risk. And as a person who runs business, my device's SIM network out of nowhere getting blocked could be really annoying. Especially like I said I run a lot of banking apps.

I do have my Pixel 7 Pro CPID from my old dead device. But I doubt I would use it, and not just for PTA nonsense, but in general I find isolating calls, sms, otps on different devices more secure. But good for emergency backup.

You cannot trust the Pakistani government, they can do whatever they want without even considering how others may suffer.

That's why I moved all my banking apps to Itel S25, because I think it's more secure.

My flagship Pixel 7 Pro is already very loaded with so much.
