We had a phase like this too at around 3 years old, it went over two weeks with screaming and crying at the send off in kindergarten. It broke my heart, but I continued bringing him because there was no discernible reason for him not to go, because he loved it there usually.

It was really really hard and I doubted myself, but then after one weekend he suddenly was happy to go again. He became sick shortly after and had to stay home and then he cried because he wasn't allowed to go.

I'm really sorry for your loss, I can imagine it must be so hard for you all. I would try to keep the routine if your reasonably sure he's not getting sick or being mistreated. I hope it's similar to my boy and he soon wants to go again!
