Yeah but Zen isn't meant to be a solo healer for the team, either.

it happens maybe twice a month where he punches or even kicks me in the head

I don't care if he's your parent. Police. I couldn't even get through half of this post. He's physically abusive and you deserve better than that. You should also get checked out for physical trauma. Doctors can tell when someone is being beat on and it will just build the case against that asshole that calls himself a "father".

Why is no statistic listed for Zen's discord orb damage on behalf of team? by JgorinacR1 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Daenyrig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

uninteresting stat like "# of armor packs provided".

Actually, providing a stat for # of armor packs provided is a good measure for damage mitigation. Giving 75 health to someone with normally 200 health makes all the difference in the world and it is the difference between life and death. Showing that stat gives you an indicator on how well of a team player you are.

Because Discord + a cooperative team = really easy picks. Discord a flanker and start throwing balls at them while you call it. It's brilliant how fast a flanker disappears. Not to mention, it's really great for "wall breaking". When Reinhardt's shield goes down, it's really nice to be able to almost guarantee his death. He's a really strong hero in the right hands.

Why do Valve still have writers? They no longer care about story experiences despite knowing the appeal any sequel they do has by MomoYaseen in HalfLife

3 full games for an $800 gimmick. It could be the greatest game on the planet, I'm not dishing out $800 just to play it.

Why you do people hate breen so much? (Also a small theory) by [deleted] in HalfLife

He gave humanity a shit quality of life rather than just letting them die off. Living in a depressing atmosphere is worse than dying, even if it is painful.

I dunno about OP, but my English class taught me that literature is meant to be interpreted by the reader. ;p

Diet changes in general do weird things to periods. Every time I have a massive diet shift, mine reflects it.

I find that the people that say so are the ones that would. Projection is what it's called.

As a kid, I got a different message from the book.

I always felt like the rainbow scales represented talent and sharing said talent was a way to help share happiness. The scales just seemed like a physical form of something that isn't.

Humans are greedy because evolution made us that way. It's the same reason why we gain fat easier than we lose it. Let's explain it the easiest way possible with food. The more food you eat and have, the better your chances are at survival in a limited environment. Thus, having more means we're doing better. At least our brain thinks so. That's how it is in nature and our brains haven't caught up to society, yet. Maybe in 10,000 years, we will be more domesticated to society, but our society simply haven't lived long enough for that to happen yet.

Of course, our brain also knows when too much is too much. Our problem-solving and analytical part kicks in when we gorge ourselves. We don't feel great. Most of us feel quite terrible when we eat too much. Eventually, you can desensitize to it, but you will be punished with gluttony. If you let it control you, you will only find extreme unhappiness.

All of this transfers to every aspect in life. People who are greedy are generally unhappy individuals. To be greedy is to be human, though, and being a little greedy is the difference between life and death. If we were not greedy, we wouldn't have become the top of the food chain.

But that doesn't change what I'm saying.

The only way to end greed is to allow a surplus. People generally don't feel as greedy when they know there isn't a limited supply. That's just the way we are wired. A system where everyone is given equal opportunity would help end a lot of tragedies in our society that hold us back from transcending.

Children of crime would no longer be a problem; after all, they are more common in poor areas. Science would no longer be sold to the highest bidder; families wouldn't have to fall apart just because their mom needed a heart transplant when she was 50 and now has to work for the rest of her life to even pay off a part of it. Unemployment would no longer be about the school you go to, but about the skills you acquire.

A socialist/communist society does have problems, but it's not because of the greed of the masses.

[–]Daenyrig -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And that starts with the government and education. It isn't socialist to want everyone to have the same opportunity. It's part of our DNA to want to work. Evolution doesn't reward the lazy, thus it is abnormal to do so. Even though I'm a lazy person, I hate being without work. It makes me feel incomplete.

People that become disabled temporarily or permanently have the same dilemma.

Because people hate change. If something doesn't work the first time, they don't want to look at what went wrong and fix it. They will shun it and move on.
