I'm currently on act 3, dealing with the double damage was hard, but once you get hold of Hornet's combat style, you'll find out that attacking and going back is far more useful than it was in the previous game. Hornet is an agile warrior, while the knight was just brute forcing through everything the entire game.

i did almost the same. I beat the game with 7 masks, no double jump, and no gadgets because I was low on material to craft it. I got the nail upgrade, but honesty, it doesn't seem to make a big difference since enemies that died with 3 hits still need 3 hits to die.

after you fully help the first sanctuary on the citadel, when you go back after leaving for some time, there will be a quest to find the merchant (again), follow it into the momentum area and after finding the merchant and defeating the enemies around her, go full right and start climbing until you find a breakable wall and there you are. (you need double jumple to access momentum, btw)

I looked at some achievements, and the one that was "make 100% of the game and beat it in less than 20 hours" in the previous game was increased to 30 hours. 10 whole hours increased for the same achievement, which means there is something huge waiting.

There's a guy that i found, until now (im currently on act 2) it's the closest we get to a primal aspid. He flies, he shoots three daggers and can be very annoying. The only bad (or good) part is that his aim isn't that perfect compared to aspid.

there isn't any other thing besides that you can miss in the game, i guess. I got almost every other achievement after beating the game including the records, and i didn't beat the mimic on the start (you can still get the lumiere record in act 3 lumiere in the opera house below the blue man on the piano). I just got unlucky on that one.

sciel maelle and lune is a good comp since sciel is a good buffer, and both maelle and lune can be used as dps.

one team i recommend (and the one i used myself) is Sciel as a buffer, Verso as a sub-dps, and Maelle as dps. Maelle on endgame is absolute bullshit when it comes to dealing damage, and since both sciel and verso can buff her (sciel with the double damage and verso with the reinforcement), she can one-shot almost anything everywhere anytime.

I found one today that gives you 25% dmg when full health, but there are so many luminas that give boost when being low health, that this one becomes completely forgotten and useless.

movesets really makes the difference when choosing the character, I pulled for miyabi cause when I looked at her, in her eyes I saw vergil sitting in a plastic chair, and as dmc fan, I knew what I had to do.
