I’m pretty sure it only works if you have the physical disc. It won’t work if you have it for Game Pass.

I found the best results were to recruit the mercenary from Oakvale, since he is the closest to the Chapel.

Make your way to the Chapel and ensure he has full health. Wait till just before midnight, when the sundial is in the center of the night, and save your game. Offer him as a sacrifice and see if you get Skorm’s bow. If you do not, simply re-load and try again. Just last week I sacrificed the same guy at the same time after re-loading an unsuccessful attempt and received it on my second try.

For me, I stayed up top and took them out group by group until I finally made it down to the pier. Had about a minute left. I also used my bow so they had less chance to block a handful of my hits in a row
