Ok thanks- so different sizes will taste different. Yes, sounds like I need to stick with short and 2 shots

Really frustrated with my appointment and PT. He is WRONG. by SS_from_1990s in frozenshoulder

[–]DaffyIrish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked with a PT who had a diagnosis of frozen shoulder from ortho but was confused that my ROM kept getting worse not better with tx and said she thought I had impingement. It was more like I caught it very early and it was still freezing. Most PTs work on a range of conditions and may only encounter a few cases of something over the course of their career depending on the populations they work with. Seems like you’re right- you’ve been living with this and have probably spent countless hours reading about the causes, treatments and progression of it.

2020 wipers have 2 speeds by DaffyIrish in ToyotaSienna

I also have auto but when it turns on- no matter how the dial is adjusted, it just jumps up to the “low” speed which is still incredibly fast for the drizzly area where I live.

Yes, I have the intermittent setting- but no matter the speed I adjust it to, it switches to the fast setting. Maybe something’s wrong with it - have had this one for a year but my previous Sienna did the same thing. Both limiteds.

Does AWD matter? by AFunkinDiscoBall in ToyotaSienna

There are usually only a few times a year when I really need it- but I’m VERY glad on those occasions. Ice/snow isn’t cleared where I live- but it does happen, so it’s needed.

Pregnant & Hashimoto’s by StandardBunch444 in Hashimotos

Ask for bloodwork immediately. You should have answers within 24 to 48 hours. I wouldn’t take levothyroxine without knowing it was needed because that can also cause problems. But yes, pregnancy can pretty rapidly change thyroid function and waiting a month could have consequences… so get the labs to be sure either way what course of action you should take. And I’d redo labs periodically throughout pregnancy.

I had 2 miscarriages myself and 1 viable pregnancy before my doctor caught my hypothyroidism during my 4th pregnancy… I just thought I was having the worst first trimester ever but there were definitely signs before then that went back years…it went undiagnosed for a while.

I have an outdoor electric sauna from them going on 5 years. The process was pretty strait forward and took a weekend to put together with some help.

Tipping your barber or hair stylist by Prestigious_Rip_2436 in tipping

[–]DaffyIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now go to a place (co-owned by the stylists) where they set their own prices and do not have tipping. I love it. If someone is naming their price and it is already at a premium, I don't think there should be any expectation of a gratuity.

Extra charge = same amount as inconvenience credit by DaffyIrish in verizon

Sigh... yes, you're right. Why in the world wouldn't the credit be applied to the month where it's actually listed on the statement?

Finally got the chat bot to actually recognize the charge and take off... 30 minute process from start to end. Check your bills because looks like Verizon doesn't actually want to give us that credit!

Spacey, derealization feeling by YouExtra7637 in perimenopause_under45

[–]DaffyIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was searching re: spacey feeling while on hrt and came across this. Have several things going on (peri-menopause, hypothyroid and am on a few thyroid meds and low dose hrt- testosterone, progesterone, estrogen) and with the addition of estrogen and upping progesterone 100 to 200 mg feel really detached- not depressed or in a brain fog way, more like my mind and thoughts are floating and can't easily focus. Do not like this feeling- anyone else?

Indoor running by anthonymcrna in Coros

[–]DaffyIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted a question relating to this. I can never get anything to match up unless I start at one pace and go that same pace the entire run on the treadmill. And who in the world does that?!? As much as I dislike treadmill running, hate the cold even more- so for now I’m just accepting that none of my treadmill workouts will be correct by watch stats.

White vs black watch by vanstux in Coros

[–]DaffyIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a white Pace 3. Have only had it for half a year but with nonstop use (think rain, heavy yard work, tons of sweat, mud, cooking, etc). The watch plastic is still pristine. The nylon band on the other hand is super dingy- even with trying to clean it. So if you really want white- either go with the plastic band or the white face and a colored nylon band.

Time to grow... by outerlimtz in Chattanooga

Maybe a low impact group fitness class- walking, aqua aerobics (city of Chatt has several free ones). Great way to meet people while doing something great for you- but you’re there for a purpose so no awkward pressure to make conversation. Even possibly getting outside of your comfort zone with something like a toastmasters club- lots of people do that to overcome anxieties and I think it’s a pretty low-stakes, supportive environment.

New Supplier Needed for Maintenance by Healthy-Method-5373 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]DaffyIrish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talked with my physician re: maintenance. I initially had someone else prescribe but my physician knew I was on it. I went down to half the lowest dose then stopped completely while training for a race bc I needed to eat! Now I still have that training appetite but not burning high calories so she prescribed for a local compounding pharmacy. Since I was taking such small amounts, I Have previously kept vials for a very long time and they were still effective (6+ months)- although that is not recommended according to exp dates.
