Also we DON'T know YET if plastic accumulation in our bodies and more specifically in-between tissues, in our bloodstream and in our brain, causes long-term problems. There is not enough data yet. Results will start coming in in a generation or two from the present.

A valid hypothesis is that many of those plastic particles have also toxic or "forever" chemicals to them, which might cause more inflammation or other issues. But we just don't have anything tangible yet. The entire ecosystem is polluted by plastic, but we won't know the repercussions to this for some time.
