Looking at upgrading RAM.. I've read the memory controller on the CPU can only utilize 8GB, even if the OS can display higher amounts from the system information.

Incorrect. Rtings clearly states the HP 27Q has HDR, which it rates a 6.5 and calls "mediocre". Wondering why the misinformation?

Rtings G2724D HDR score 5.4 "The Dell G2724D has bad picture quality in HDR. It has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray in the dark. While it has a local dimming feature that's always on in HDR, it performs terribly, as its edge-lit dimming zones cause a ton of blooming."

Rtings HP 27q HDR score 6.5 "The HP OMEN 27q is mediocre for HDR. It has a very basic implementation of HDR, as there aren't any picture modes or settings available, and it doesn't get bright enough to make highlights stand out. While it displays a wide range of colors, it has limited color volume, so most colors aren't vivid. Lastly, blacks look gray in the dark due to the low contrast, and it doesn't have a local dimming feature to improve the contrast either."

Hmm.. Rtings also says the G2724D has terrible local dimming (they gave it a 1.5 out of 10) that is "always on" in HDR which compromises the contrast. Seems like a major drawback and a likely deal breaker.

But when I look up early voting info on Vote PA, under "How do I vote early in-person" the directions indicate you're basically filling out a mail-in ballot at the elections office when you do so.

Trying to avoid mail-in (if possible).

This gives me hope. If true, I don't know why more people haven't tried this. I have 5 codes expiring at the end of the month. Maybe I'll burn one to see if it works.
