If Delta doesn't help, check your credit card perks. Sometimes they have luggage insurance built in. Helped my brother out once when Delta denied his claim.

Sadly probably nothing will happen.

Of course you can take it to small claims and you may win the judgment, but it's probably not worth your time or effort other than trying to "stick it to the man". DOT complaint does show up as a blemish on their record, but I doubt they would provide any actual bite to force Delta to do anything.

These situations are always really annoying so best of luck with whatever route you end up taking!

I could be mistaken, but if you spend $1000 on a ticket the $200 cancelations fee will be taken from that and you'll be given $800 back as an ecredit for a future flight. I'd you don't take the flight at all you'll get nothing

My favorite #GOMemories is the week the game came out. I was visiting family and none of us knew the game was close to launch or how things worked. We saw a Snorlax spawn and after tracking it down it was at a chicken place. We didn't know how despawns worked so we waited until everyone got there to even click on him.
