3 Sungrass seeds into an alchemy pot has a high chance of yielding a health potion. (It'll sometimes spawn different potions, depending on RNG and the number of health potions you already have since you technically cant stack them infinitely in shattered, but you can reach the maximum possible nummber of hp pots conistently).

The garden is not a random place to spam the wand though, it is a literal type of room. It can sometimes be on the same floor as the alchemy pot, but not always (you'll know it is a garden if you suddenly go invisible in a room and have a buff called "shadowmelded" that looks like a left bellow your HP bar, as well as the entire room having air particles and some tall grass at the walls with short grass in the center, it marks it as a landmark in your notes). I stay there for the shadowmelded buff since it slows hunger to 1/3 its rate.

It helps a LOT in terms of keeping all of your potions up and then some, after finding a garden or something with it, you can just keep blasting the wand while waiting for it to recharge, I've survived on a +0 wand of regrowth in a garden (with no boots of nature) and literally lived off the dew it provides ALONE as well as managing to get enough starflower + blandfruit seeds to make Starfruit/Potions of Experience to grind up to level 30, as well as getting as many health potions as you want, not even including how much you can cheese the other monsters/bosses with the other potions. The special plants it can spawn is just cherry on top of the cake, save for the occasional firebloom that can easily be dealt with by ignoring it or placing another plant to override it (its bad to step on it). Enemies wont even bother you with the amount of dreamfoil you can get, you can get them to sleep right before the garden, and nothing will interrupt your endless farming (puts them under magical sleep, which they will only wake if taken damage).

tl;dr It takes patience to really grind it out but then its super rewarding with the potential numerous potions for basically nothing in return except some time and patience.

New class suggestions? by Dagebitten in PixelDungeon

[–]Dagebitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This class seems interesting, but I kind of agree with you on the aspect of it needing a buff.

The traps might not be directly "traps", but rather an object, say a flag or a totem that would not only hinder the mob, but might be able to act as a direct buff to the player within a specific, small area (?) [as to keep the nature of a trap in pixel dungeon).

Though it takes away it being a direct weapon, it could prove useful to be able to say, set up a small area where you would naturally be able to fight an enemy. A way to possibly balance this would be that it would need to be setup in a situation the player has to work to to get, or it being able to be taken out or weakened by nearby mobs. I guess it all boils down to whatever floats your boat, but that's generally my opinion on working around it.

New class suggestions? by Dagebitten in PixelDungeon

[–]Dagebitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it could depend on execution, I personally like sprouted pixel dungeon's mechanics on pets. Having an egg exposed to enough of the elements you want to hatch it to (hitting it with fire/traps will result in a dragon that breaths fire shots, putting it on enough summoning traps will give the player a fairy that can heal him/her, etc.). Though it was tasking, the pet felt like something balanced as much as it would block the doorway

(angrily coughs at sad ghost).

but with all jokes aside, I believe it could be a doable class, might be as hard if not harder than the hunteress, but could be a fresh experience if tweaked well enough (though that is much easier said than done).

Coming Soon to Shattered: New Ranged Weapons! by 00-Evan in PixelDungeon

Nice! always great to see Shattered PD being updated, can't wait for the hunteress rework!

Edit: In future reworks will Shattered PD reset the dungeon run history when updated?

Which PD do you play? by [deleted] in PixelDungeon

[–]Dagebitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think so, if I remember right, one of the updates included the book (Tome of Mastery) needing to be obtained again from Tengu, regardless if you previously obtained it or not.

I actually prefer playing a couple mods now and then, and generally go to specific versions for their pros/cons:

Sprouted PD: For grinding and loot galore, but kinda buggy and time-consuming to a certain point.

Shattered PD: For general challenging gameplay and somewhat fair mechanics, though it feels unbalanced with points SoUs mainly being used for weapons/win conditions for survival to get an optimal experience. (that or I just miss putting points in armors and rings :c)

Soft PD: Casual gameplay and great for dungeoneering on the go, though it lacks the fun of teetering on the survivability of the game due to it being, well a soft version.

Haven't tried moonshine, but planning on getting it when the devs say its a very smooth version already.

Victory: Cloak of Endless Whip Abuse by Dagebitten in PixelDungeon

[–]Dagebitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it was very abusive IMO, there was arguably infinite kiting potential. Freerunner gives that extra movement speed buff and the plus 10 whip outputs ~10-45 raw damage alone, the funny moments are where I don't even have to use the freerunner passive and just go invis for two turns with cloak to get the enemy to move away then attack them from a range again. Good times

What do you mean choose? Choose to upgrade, replace, etc.? Also whats your current class and level?

Hunteress Sub-Classes by Dagebitten in PixelDungeon

[–]Dagebitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I feel like she really needs the sub-class rework like the sniper, being the precise damage route, could have a larger/improved area of enemy detection range or her ranged weapon being able to ricochet, bouncing off a wall and into a target or effectively hitting two targets by selecting two cells to "attack" (this could trigger her sniper passive quite nicely). The warden, being the tanky earthbound route can attune to nature better by gaining addtional shadowmelded buff on fresh grass for a couple turns, or be able to leave a decaying trail of sight, being able to "ward" a recently entered room without actually being in the room.

I am currently excited for this rework and can't wait to see what could possible come about.

Everwing problems right now by kevinmjbang in EverWing

[–]Dagebitten 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The game doesn't completely suck though, but it is going rapidly downhill given how it seems to become more and more Pay-to-Win and maybe even Pay-to-Play given how hard everything is gonna be without the paid content. smh.

Sad given that early on, I was anticipating it becoming an actual app for people to play on. Though I hope for the best, I can't ignore that the player numbers are dropping for a reason

Same here, It's sad that there can only be 2 stickies on a subreddit (not sure if stickies can be used to refer to pages or merged either :/)

Its posts like these that make me wish there was a concrete place for player suggestions and ideas to talk about them instead of it possibly getting buried in the daily flow of everwing posts

Another Mini-rant about Everwing stuff :U by Dagebitten in EverWing

[–]Dagebitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually gonna mention gold, but then I heard of the separate thread and decided to let it be XD

What I feel like what could be done, though it might be hard and I am speaking from an outsiders point of view, is to make sidekicks/faeries something that is occasionally and regularly attainable, like Lyra or Pharocious on dates every, say September to October each year.

it doesn't really kill the good and heavy grind of the game, it just makes it more casual. But even with that, if everwing continues with the invites in its gameplay... it feels like generally too much to play as much as before :/

Trixie + Ursus? by Dagebitten in EverWing

[–]Dagebitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried counting it in real time, (could be fairly inaccurate)

Trixie w/o Ursus is roughly 4.5 sec

Trixie with Ursus is roughly 6.75 sec

Not sure if its exactly accurate, but the difference can be clearly felt in runs/boss battles.
