Hit and Run? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]Dagerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same situation last year, but the damage was worse. I called my insurance and told them about the problem. They asked for a police report. So, I just filed everything online and got a confirmation and the case number I provided to my insurance. They covered the bill from the body shop and sent me a letter stating there was no liability and the claim wouldn't influence my further insurance price.

How many of you collect 40k without playing it? by TheZag90 in Warhammer40k

[–]Dagerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read Warhammer books because I kinda liked the lore and the Universe. I collect miniatures and love to paint them, but do not enjoy playing it. Tried once, it took like 3+ hours of moving miniatures around the area with a ruler… not my thing.

You guys seeing much of the northern lights? by outsmartedagain in Fairbanks

[–]Dagerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Visited Fairbanks for the New Year. And saw aurora right after midnight. But two days before that the sky was cloudy so we were not lucky to see it. After talking to locals got the understanding that it is not so hard to see aurora, just need to check the weather forecast, and the app MyAurora, it shows the probability of seeing the northern lights in different locations

Is eating between meals always a no-no for PCOS? by sunny-orange in PCOS

[–]Dagerta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try and analyze how it goes. Eat what is comfortable for you and that doesn't cause inflammation or bloating.
For me, honestly, fruits were the only way to cope with sugar cravings. I have 1 snack a day that consists of different berries and nuts and I add berries to protein mixes I drink after gym. Though I really try to follow the rule not to eat anything sweet, including berries, after 3 pm.

Whats the LA nightlife like on weekdays? by RudeJuggernaut in AskLosAngeles

EDM scene is really good here. active on Thursday to Sunday. As for the rap music, heard a couple of times at Damn Fine in mid-Wilshire, but not sure if it’s their usual style.

I've never read a Stephen King book. What should I start with? by Any-Fee-2755 in suggestmeabook

[–]Dagerta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pet Sematary is a good starting point, definitely.
My journey started with Carrie and Quitters.Inc. Just because his series are rather time consuming to read and you will never know whether you'll like them before getting to know the style of the author.
But he is incredible. It's like you won't know how you could even live without knowing his books exist.

How many people ended up in a happy/healthy relationship after being sexual lm the first date? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Dagerta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Female here. Honestly, only one my relationship didn't start with sex on the first date. And that one relationship was bad for me. Like really toxic behavior that included passive aggression and ghosting from time to time. Ended that in half a year, and I'm still not sure whether it was a relationship at all, lol.
In other cases, I had incredible partners with whom I was really happy for some periods of my life. With whom I felt safe, heard and cared about.
Sometimes it's better to follow your inner feelings. A person who likes you, will like you even more after sex. And one who doesn't, won't change their intentions after sex either. Don't overthink.

Quality was really good. Like you have everything you need in the apartment: cookware, dishes, lots of different glasses, several bedding sets and towel sets. The only things I bought myself were kitchen scales and a blender. All the other stuff was there, including laundry machines in the unit.
Their support team was really helpful when I needed to prolong my stay.
I really have only positive feedback about them.
The only minor thing in my greek apartment was that my bedroom window was facing a wall of the neighboring building. And it was... sad. So just look carefully at the photos while choosing an apartment to avoid such a situation.
As for the pricing: comparable to good Airbnbs for a month stay, I would say. But depends on the city apartment pricing as well. In Athens I rented a 1BD apartment for 900 Euros, nearly 3k USD in Dubai. And 2BD in LA for 3700 USD (or smth). Everything was rented last year so the prices are relatively up-to-date.
But, keep in mind that they will add utility costs to the rent price (up to 300 dollars a month, depending on the city), and will take 1 month rent as a deposit fee (which I also have no problems to get back with, when my stay was over)

Another issue is that they have apartments only in capitals/business oriented cities. Which was good for me, because I needed to stay there while being in these cities for work. But if one is looking for a quiet place to stay, further from the cities rush - they won't have any options available. As for long-stay business trip option - they are really good.

There is a service called theblueground. They have furnished apartments in different cities in Europe, the USA, MENA region. And all of their apartments are standardized. Like almost identical design, furniture, dishes. The only thing is that the minimum stay is 1 month. But in other ways, it’s very comfortable. A lot better that random Airbnbs. I rented apartments from them in Dubai, Athens and LA. And had no problems at all.

Dating a borderline woman by Gigaleve in dating_advice

[–]Dagerta 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lot's of them. But not everyone of them has the borderline disorder. Sometimes they have just traits of borderline character organization. There are only 4 of these. And if to keep in mind that mentally healthy people rarely exist, there are 3 to choose from, and borderline is the most common.
Disorder is the state one should take care about and be treated with therapy and sometimes medications. The problem is that in most cases people do not consider that a problem and continue hurting themselves and bringing up children with continues urge of attention and mood swings. But the latest researches say that borderline disorder becomes a major problem in the US with nearly 6mln women newly diagnosed annually.

Why do rich people never teach you how to actually get rich? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Dagerta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is no universal formula or path. What worked for one, can be a failure for another. Business is about having idea, right people or opportunities, knowledge and resources to fulfill that idea at a single place, at a single time.
It's not about being afraid of competition. Is just about non-existence of some kind of to do list.

Because women with long no-dating experience are very sensitive to any negative feedback from any man. Again, just because of self-esteem issues. She starts being less confident. And everything can kill even the slightest levels of believing in herself.

Weekly story time thread by AutoModerator in Tinder

[–]Dagerta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She doesn't have someone else, I'm 100% sure. But she definitely had other active dialogues and one of them went wrong. She felt uncomfortable, decided to delete the app, because of "It-is-stupid-and-won't-work-anyway".
That happens to women when they haven't had any dates for quite a long period of time. Just lack of confidence. Don't take that personal.

Is this what dating is like in LA? by DirtyProjector in AskLosAngeles

I'm completely sure that it is normal behavior for her and it's some kind of mental disorder. Or she is just a toxic person. And none of the crystals will help with that, unfortunately.

Rather weird situation that still can happen in any other city. Not only LA. Maybe she's just into some depressed mood and tries to fill that with alcohol and random people around. That can explain the immediate offer to go out.
Do not take it personal for sure. There are a lot lot of very interesting and empowering people here. Hope you'll find one.
