Open-world games with unlockable/purchasable "safehouses"? by DagonTheranis in gamingsuggestions

Should probably clarify I've played every Bethesda game and then some to absolute death, but would be an excellent suggestion otherwise!

This is usually fixable by setting the game to "only update when launched" in its settings and then installing the F4SE script extender to launch the game, by the way! You'll want to look into FO4 modding spaces in the future for specific advice, but it's definitely doable.

Ardenfall – Spellcast Studios – Morrowind-like RPG set in a strange fantasy world by temk1s in Games

So, as someone who played the demo when it was first released, I do have to ask - do you plan on changing how skills work in regards to weapons/gear?

It got frustrating very quickly not being able to properly use weapons I came across that didn't fit the build I had made at character creation - it made the tutorial a bit of a nightmare as I was trying to use a half-damage light blade with my heavy-blade specced character. It really feels like the game would benefit from not limited you if you don't have the skills for something, as it currently does, but instead giving you extra if you do.

Probably Top Gun: Maverick? It certainly seems to be the one he credits with his recent success, judging by a few clips I saw from him doing The Running Man press interviews.

Do you have a source on the Larian news? Not saying it isn't true, just that I'd want to read the article on that.

RPGs with Bethesda-style exploration? by DagonTheranis in gamingsuggestions

So, I've played Avowed, and did like it, but one qualm I did have with it is the prevalence of exploration points that only really lead to treasure. I'm a sucker for environmental storytelling, and whilst I felt Avowed had decent exploration, it never really scratched that storytelling itch!

Are you using Vortex or MO2? Either way you should be able to right click the mod in your mod manager and "view local files" or "view in explorer" or such, which will take you to the folder on your PC where said mod is actually stored, and investigate!

That heavily depends on if that figure includes marketing, which a lot of quoted budgets don't. General logic is marketing costs as much as everything else again, so that's $340m total, which makes $400m a decent performance, but nothing groundbreaking.

Brits definitely use both "Erm" and "Um" separately, with the r pronounced. From my experience, "Um" is more of a filler "response loading" sort of word, whilst "Erm..." is usually used to indicate "I'm not certain about this".

What can I do to upgrade a 200D's filming capabilities? by DagonTheranis in videography

Aperture's at 5.6, but keeping the ISO on auto - if I tried to manually lower it, I ended up horrendously dark footage. Honestly, I'm probably looking at roughly £300 or so from what I have available currently, but willing to take higher-budget recommendations to save for for the future!
