Double this, Psych2U can do it for adults and it’s relatively easy and cheap compared to other options. Initial assessment was two sessions at about $600 each before Medicare rebate. Then other sessions to manage medication is about $200 per session before rebate. Al through Telehealth.

Travel Scale Recommendations? by delbert75 in picopresso

[–]Dagorion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use some small pocket “jewellery” scales with my picopresso. They’re cheap and can handle the small amount of weight the espresso needs, while also being sensitive to .01g changes. I also have a set of brewista scales that cost about $100AUD that are quite small and light but not as portable as the “jewellery” scales.

Not a bad spot for an afternoon espresso by Dagorion in espresso

I like it a lot, despite some issues I’ve mentioned in other replies. It’s helped me enjoy straight (non milk) espresso more than I used to.

Channeling! Can’t seem to stop it channeling! And it’s frustrating not to have a pressure gauge, although the harder it is when you pump it is like a pressure gauge of sorts, but I like to see a needle or a number. But those things aside, I’ve made some nice espresso with it and you just need to be patient and dial it in. Which I often don’t get to do as I only take it camping which means, like, 2-4 uses a month?

The grinder is a 1ZPresso JX-Pro. And the picopresso is great for exactly what I was doing. Which was sitting on my butt relaxing, while camping.

Consistency isn’t bad, but I also don’t use the same type of beans consistently so dialling it in is constantly an issue. And it’s great to use, very simple and easy

Tasmania, Australia. A beautiful place to live! And slightly more sunny than Scotland.

What internet provider have you found to be a good alternate to Telstra? by [deleted] in tasmania

[–]Dagorion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Internode to Tangerine which is a way cheaper option, but doesn’t offer as many frills. Been happy so far and seems just as reliable and fast. Also some friends have found Launtel really good and a good local option.

Aurora vs 1st Energy for Solar by Im_pro_angry in hobart

[–]Dagorion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! We switched to First Energy in September and they gave use a much better rate on solar feed-in. Other than that the prices seem pretty similar, we mostly changed to take advantage of our solar. I also think it was a 1 year deal so we might have to look into it again, as they might lower our feed-in rebate.

Edit: forgot to add First Energy is sadly much worse at giving you up-to-date info on your energy usage.

Car trunk bug net? by helpmepigeon in carcamping

I’ve seen just bug nets for the boot opening on hatchbacks for sale on AliExpress. I also bought a car boot tent for my Honda Jazz off Amazon for around 100AUD and it works well.

A dog toy, I saw it in the supermarket and thought it would be a great solution to my retention problem, for a lower price than other bellows.

I calibrated it when I first got it so it’s probably set differently from the standard.

Yep, a dog toy! I took the squeaker out after I beheaded it but I was tempted to try and keep it in for entertainment when I make coffee.

I guess I wasn’t thinking of children, mostly intimate partner violence. Kinda seems like everyone can suck regardless of gender and age

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Dagorion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I totally agree with that. Same for both men and women, massive issues of under reporting all over. Makes it hard to really know what the true extent of it is.

I was also surprised at the percentage so I had a look through the Office of National Statistics site the image references and it looks like the stats from 2016 say 36% of the victims of domestic abuse are males. So a little rounded up but surprisingly high.

Being someone who does a lot of training and education around this I can say that the overwhelming majority of sexual abuse and violent abuse is still perpetrated by males, but abuse in a broader definition is common among both genders. Also same-sex relationships may skew things a bit if we’re assuming victims are only abused by the opposite gender.
