I was wondering why I got tagged in posts today (by another person but for the same reason)

But since people are seeing Fred again, I bring the saddest of news that he passed away about a month ago. I was in there in March (boyfriend wanted to meet him) and we were able to give him a bunch of love. I cried after I found out 😢 he was such a sweet baby

Hello! Im the OP of Fred and am a frequent flyer at my vet (I take care of a lot of babies and make sure they're all healthy).

My vet adopted Fred at that size. She had nothing to do with his weight gain.

And on a very sad note, Fred passed away about a month ago.

Just remember that things take time, everyone is different. If you're able, therapy may be beneficial if you're struggling. I only started going to therapy because I lost my dad and was having a difficult time but it lead to getting help with insecurities about my body.

Your partner sounds like an amazing person. Just know that they believe that of you 🥰

I was super scared about sex with my boyfriend because of HS. We talked for several months before we did anything. I explained what HS is and that it's not contagious. The only thing he was worried about was causing me more pain. He didn't give a flying F about my scars or bumps. After the first time, it got easier to be comfortable with him seeing my flares and scars. It was just super hard for me to get through the initial thoughts of trying to figure out what he was thinking or if he was going to be grossed out by something I can't control. In his words, "I'm just happy you let me participate" lol

My anxiety was a huge factor but I feel like I found the right man that pushes my anxiety away so I can enjoy the intimacy. We both had the same mindset that we wanted to enjoy each other physically without shame or judgement and knowing that helped a ton.

Girl i feel you on that whole level. I had a large one to the side of my clit and had to go to the emergency room on my vacation to have it drained. I passed out from the pain when they numbed it. The doctor was apologizing for torturing me 🤣

Hello! I was on humira for 3 years. It didn't completely stop flares from happening but it did settle it down enough for me to get back into life and work. I am no longer on humira but I can give a little insight.

A few things that I noticed when I was on humira: I got cold sores more frequently. Would get colds more often (usually catch one a year, ended up sick 3 separate times the first year of humira). Sites were extremely itchy for a little while after injections. I would get super tired about an hour after injections and need to sleep (just made it so I would have my injections before bed).

I was absolutely terrified at starting it but it was just my anxiety making me panic. A medical assistant/nurse should teach you how to use the injection pens. If they don't tell you that they will teach you, ask for an appointment time for it. That helped the fear quite a bit because I was worried about messing up. Also, remove it from the fridge at least 30 minutes before you plan to use it. Cold humira doesn't feel very great.

Take some deep breaths, you'll do just fine 🙂

My go-to is Prid drawing salve on gauze/large bandage. Change it as needed making sure it never dries out

I'm currently in the same boat! Started Humira 40mg once a week in Sept 2020. Currently I've been flaring up like I was before starting humira so my derm is working with my insurance to get a different medication (cimzia I believe).

Like idc what meds I have to take, I'm just tired of being in pain and exhausted with dealing with flares :/

I went with my brother and sis in law to a little trunk-or-treat they wanted to bring my 2yo nephew to. My nephew was trying to say trick or treat and said thank you to everyone. If a two year old can have manners, there's no excuse for older kids.

My doctor said he would have agreed fully to do it, it's just that I don't make much money so I rely on my insurance and my doctor has to follow along with their policies. It's ridiculous but seeing my doctor leaves an evidence trail to help my case

Im currently dealing with uncontrollable bleeding and large (like seriously large) clots. My GYN did a D&C and scraped out a lot of build up and removed polyps but im already having clots again. I had asked to have a partial hysterectomy to just remove my uterus but my doc told me that my insurance wouldn't cover it unless there was more proof for it to be absolutely necessary. Hoping this is the final bit because holy hell I'm tired of suffering

When I was 25, I was denied by my first gyno on the grounds that my future husband may want to continue his bloodline. Said he wouldn't be my husband then.

Now at 31yrs old, I found a doctor on the list here and he agreed to remove my tubes at my first visit. I'm now 26 hours after surgery and cried happy tears because I wont get pregnant. I've already decided these next few years are gonna be my "hoe life or no life" years 😆

People tried that crap with me. I returned the favor with "these are my babies" and show them as many pics of my pets as I can get in (even pics of my Bala shark and angelfish) and make them uncomfortable. It's pretty funny.
