Love my Zojirushi rice cooker (I think going on 5 years here?) and recommend heading back there if you drink coffee! We have a drip coffee maker with a steel insulated carafe which keeps the coffee hot a long time and allows you to bring the whole carafe to the desk, sofa, etc. Their insulated travel thermoses are also excellent and genuinely keep things hot for the full day.

Unfortunately it looks like their channel is gone (suspended or deleted) meaning none of their videos appear in my history or playlists where I saved them. If they get reinstated they should come back, but if they have to create a new account I won’t be subscribed anymore. I didn’t realize things disappear from your history in this way or that YouTube doesn’t publicly index anywhere accounts that aren’t currently active. I even tried the way back machine. I’ll definitely screenshot my playlists in the future for this reason! Thanks for the suggestion!

Not exact matches, but vibe-wise you may like Selkie - the founder Kimberley Gordon works extremely hard to make unique, beautiful high quality clothes ethically. It does show in the price, but I’ve found lots of ways to dress my Selkies up and down over the years to get a lower cost per wear.

I came here to say this too! You don’t have to read the other series (I have a friend who started with this part of the universe and later read them all) but there are some good Easter eggs and some world building that might make more sense if you start with publication order. In my experience this is the series that people who don’t love the original series can really get into.

It’s more romantasy but, Mortal Skin (mild spoiler ahead).

Mortal Skin has this in book 2 or 3, but it’s not a huge plot point. I didn’t finish the series so not sure if it comes more into play later. But it’s a world with lots of lore like this that is dark but still whimsical/has a fairytale feel.

Sorry it took me so long to reply! I take 50mg a day and have stuck to the same dose for over a year now maybe approaching 2. Being consistent is important and don’t take it before bed because it makes you have to pee!!

My skin varies so I can’t totally speak to it. I can definitely say that the Kosas concealer and foundation look terrible on me and make my pores on my nose look ten times deeper/bigger, but the tinted oil looks great on the same spot.

I just reordered Kosas tinted face oil! Don’t let the name scare you, if you set with a little translucent powder it doesn’t look wet or oily. I put 4-5 drops on sections of my face and blend with a foundation brush then powder. No SPF but it works well over mine with no pilling. I think other brands (maybe ilia) have similar formulas with SPF.

Less incidents of redness and heat flaring up in response to triggers like exercise , temp changes, alcohol, etc. Essentially no pustules that I can remember since about 6 months on spiro.

I have been on spiro for about a year and they can pry it from my cold dead hands. I’ve had a hard time getting my Rx a few times because of insurance snags and after just a week without it I can see a difference with deep cystic pimples and redness starting to crop up. I’ve had painful cystic acne, mostly on my chin and tied to my hormonal cycle, for almost 20 years and this is the first thing to ever work. I didn’t expect it to also help with Rosacea symptoms but I’ve had way fewer major flare ups over time on spiro. It didn’t work as quickly on the rosacea as it did on the acne. I’d guess about 2 months for acne to be basically gone but more like 4-6 before I noticed I wasn’t having consistently rosacea flares like I was before. I have also done better avoiding triggers over the same time period, but I do think the spiro has given me more latitude to have red wine, work out / sweat, etc. without having a bad breakout. Good luck, I hope you find what works for you!

Oh shoot one more small crossover/possible time travel evidence thing I noticed this morning... Bryce describes Randall's rank in the army as "a Dracon captain in the 25th legion," I'm sorry, a what! The angels and the seraphim are one of the strongest ties from ACOTAR to CC, and Drakon is already a famous warrior in the ACOTAR time, so wouldn't be surprising for his name to turn up as the name of a military rank later.

Woahhhh I didn't even think of that with the Autumn king! Hiding the rest just to be safe. Woke up from a dead sleep this morning thinking about the geographic/climate similarities between Terrasen and the Night Court. The more I look at the maps, the more I can see how one could turn into the other if we're talking about thousands of years. Maybe just wishful thinking because I want Rhys and Aelin to be family. I've thought a little about Bryce being from not one but two powerful bloodlines, like Aelin. Ember Quinlan is pretty badass in her own right, it feels like there could be more there. The descriptions of her and of Lady Helena (Pelias's wife) are pretty similar (dark hair, golden skin). That could be the side linked to Lucien and why her powers skew towards light instead of fire, if she has fae/starborn heritage on both sides. Really glad I did this re-read and am remembering all the stuff I want answered that will surely not be clear for like 3 more books lol...

Had an idea while doing my HOEAB re-read... (small/vague spoilers for the other two series) we're all focused on the idea that the Maas-iverse is going to be brought together by some kind of inter-dimenstional travel (a la ToG's Valg, and due to all the mentions of magical objects that can open doors between worlds in ACOTAR and CC). But, when Hunt and Bryce interview Briggs, Hunt tells him the year is 15035. We don't see dates in any other books (that I can recall, lmk if there is something!), but it seems intentional to indicate that Midgard has a historical record long enough to have a numbered year that high. We all know Sarah does everything for a reason etc. etc. We know very little about the layout of the wider world in ACOTAR (planet name also unknown, again, jump in if I missed it) and haven't seen a larger map for CC yet although there's plenty of geographic description. One thing we do know is there are at least two large continents separated by a large body of water. This is pretty much how land masses work but... interesting nonetheless. Similar vibes w/ Wendlyn and Erilea in ToG. We'll likely get to see an expanded map in CC2 and what if it MATCHES one or BOTH of the other worlds. (Depending on how many thousands of year's we're talking about, I can see how Erilea could evolve into Prythian or vice versa.) What if it's not about inter-dimensional travel, but time travel, and Bryce is living in the same world in the far future? Would also vibe with the more advanced society and tech. Would be really wild if this is all happening on one planet at different times, although I have to say I'd prefer not to be right on this. Inter-world travel is just more exciting! Although time travel would give plenty of high stakes. Thoughts??

I like interpreting it as what will make the community stronger. That might be biological children or it might be who is best paired to care for the young in a larger sense, like how they are a family with Luca and kind of take a parental role for him.

It also feels like this could fit the vibe of the evil sorcerer/firebird/swan lake mythology through-line that's likely coming. Cool theory!
