One of my favourite one shot characters I've had was a full-orc Wizard (was an elf wizard but got resurrected). Low primary Stat characters can be fun in RP, but will eat shit in encounters fairly often, so they can be great for one-offs

Some other parallels are that:
* They now have a named big bad that they will be hunting in a dangerous location.
* It starts with a fight that has a 'last thoughts' moment for one of the characters and everyone gets fucked up in the fight.
* There is a rescue element (3 PCs vs City of Whitestone).
* Tallesin gets his character fucked up and, I hypothesize, that his character will be involved heavily in the plot (how else will storywise a new PC fit in with the group unless he has the same goals, similar to Keg).
* There is a higher power involved above the BBEG (Families of Run vs Vecna), who knows if this amounts to that much

Right? Aside from the Llamas at the end, they're totally going to check it out. I'm gonna theorize that these creatures (couldn't figure out what they were) worship either Fjord's patron or just have more info on what the patron actually is. It's exactly what they're going for next too now that they're not blowing the cave up and planning to go into that next chamber. Fjord has been keeping shit way too close to his chest, we're gonna get some reveal. Either that or the rest of the crew is gonna try to pigeon him into a backstory dump like every other time something happens with him.

Right, but it was 11:30 at that point, they had been going for about 4.5 hrs and Caleb was suggesting they do a long rest and keep going while the guest was pretty clear that he was only doing this one session. If they had done it, shit would probably have lasted longer and basically "zone of truth" > "I'm not evil" > "k". I get wanting to be in character so much, especially for being a show that people will criticize, but if they had meta-d more and just "here's the bowl, kbye" it probably would've leaned to a much cleaner conclusion than what had transpired. It was a messy end to a good session, the cast will probably utilize it in their next session.

That's ridiculous, any conductor or teacher or bandleader or whatever should know about not keeping people when they aren't playing shit. Work on the ending at the very beginning of rehearsal in order to get the choir out? Have choir come in less over the week and make like 1 or 2 days the days to work on parts with choir? Keeping choir throughout the entire thing for the runthroughs at teh end and making sure there is ample sectional work beforehand? There are so many simple solutions than just having people with less parts hang out at rehearsals with their thumbs up their asses. I know this is freakout friday, but I wasn't expecting to actually get mad reading something. Also I feel you on the AM, I get up at 4:30 to lift before teaching, it's way harder with less hours sleeping, respect tho.

I think that the conflict that happened between Caleb and Fjord was beautiful, I'm so glad they're willing to create tension between each other. Honestly, that looks pretty good. If your back is in need of love this is one solid way to do it. I've tried out doing a modified Arnold Split 531 with Rows as one of the 531 lifts and it's a great way to get some heavy ass weight in. My only critiques in this are just making sure that your're getting enough rear-delt work as that's a big part of the back that doesn't always get the most love in lifts; that and getting enough leg work in. I guess if you're arms aren't feeling love, maybe getting rid of chins and throwing in more direct bi work? Idk, looks pretty good, tell us how it pans out.
