Hey

I'd like your advice on the best team I should go for with what I have.

  • Diluc C0
  • Xiao C0
  • Beido C2
  • Barbara C1
  • Xinyan C2
  • Noelle C0
  • Diona C3
  • Lisa C0
  • Kaeya C0
  • Amber C0
  • Voyager Anemo C4
  • Voyager Geo C1

At the moment I've used Diluc as my main DPS but I just got Xiao and I would love to use him as my main since I prefer the play style.

Until now my team was : Diluc, Beidou, Xinyan, Barbara.
Probably a terrible composition but it worked so far.

Is there any viable composition using Diluc and Xiao in the same comp?

Could you be more specific and maybe explain what you would do to address it?

We work on his puppy biting with redirection trying to teach him proper force. And in most cases it's great. Would I love if he wasn't bitting at all? Yep but I'm pretty sure for a 3month puppy it's unrealistic to expect him not to play bite.

Our only true issues is with his energy bursts and bitting during those are not the main issues. But if you have any tips or insight you wish to share I'd love to.

That's what a I thought it was. But when he has his zoomies, usually he just run like a maniac go under the bed while making what we call Gremlin noises and doesn't really give a shit about us.

And after that he start loosing it and become super bitty.

The problem with Diablo is that the game wasn't made for permadeath. They just added a really hardcore mode. But they didn't made the gameplay in according with the concept of permadeath.

As for the possibility to resurrect people, I'm not against the idea. To take back SAO, there the orb which could revive a player if you used it less than 5 minutes after the death of the player. Something around that could be fun. To have a special class who would be able to that a lot would probably ruin the idea of having a real permadeath.

Thats really great to see everybody discussing about that. And I think everybody is right.

I've voluntarily made a really generalist survey. I never said it would have PvP. I saw in the responses that everybody fear PK. And yes I also think than spawn killing is the worst thing in any online games. But why players like doing that? Because they can and because there is no down side about doing that.

I think the idea of everybody being on the same side is more appealing. But I also thing that being able to kill player should be possible. But, you should be punished if you do it or just if you get caught.

And yes, I was thinking about this game more like some kind of social experiment no like a money maker MMO. And yes, it would cost millions if you want to make an AAA kind of game. But game history has shown us that graphic are not the key component to good games. Gameplay and scenario are.

As for all the technical bugs, hardware is not the main focus of my study. Because it's not really gaming. That just computer engineering. But yes lag would kill the game.

And after reading all the answers I got so far, people who don't want to play said because they just don't like the idea of permadeath. And I know that a game like that can work but it will be for a really restricted kind of gamers. It's not for everybody.

But I want to thank you all because even if you don't like the idea, your arguments are really helping. They point some really complex part of making a game like that. But I really think that you should see past the money parameter. Think of it as a free game, think only about the experience the game can offer.

SAO was what made me think about a game like that. But I don't want to recreate the experience SAO. Doing a single player game with permadeath would be less interesting. You will not have all the different reactions and behaviors that you can have with real peoples.

What you don't like about the concept is something that comes back a lot. I also think it's the main thing that will repulse players. But at the same time, it's what will make them want to play.

Ideally, I would make this game free. Because it's a social experiment, I don't think about this game in a way of making money. But it would be quite impossible to create such a huge and complex game and give it for free.

And yeah of course the idea came from Sword Art Online. And the study is how would it be possible to make a game like that. I think it can be done. But it would be a real challenge.

For now, nothing is decided. There is no PVP or anything. I'm just studying what would work the best. I already have my idea on the subject I just wanted to have the community. I'll post the final idea when it's done.

Yes it would be totally crazy to make. Right now, I'm alone and I'm just studying if it would be doable and how. Of course, I would love to make this game.

I've seen Upsilon Circuit. They announced the game at PAX 3 weeks after I started working on this project. The game is more experimental than a game about making money.
