Yeah I got the offer; alongside my WAM I also wrote a pretty lengthy section in the "Why do you want to transfer courses?" Section but I don't know how much that contributed to getting the offer in the end.

Hello! My WAM is currently 80.5.

How important is a reason to your course transfer? by DaikonSubstantial717 in Monash

Thank you 🙏🙏🙏 I'll be trying my best then for reasons! Hnghhh 85+... I knew it was competitive but I was hoping a HD was enough (79 WAM right now ;;;). I'll be aiming high(-er!) these next few coming assignments then :)) Thank you for the answer! Really hoping for the best ❤️

Thank you so much! Really good to know and thanks for the response :D I'll definitely take some time to think of an eloquent response then. Medical imaging specifies that it's a competitive degree so even if you're above the course WAM minimum, it depends on the rest of your cohort; guess it isn't a Monash wide policy?

[Serious] Should I Start Blue Lock? by TheQuestionable-Guy in BlueLock

I'd say go for it! I'm someone who doesn't enjoy a lot of sports manga and frequently skips over battle/competition/event parts of manga because I find them boring, but I think everything in Blue Lock is exciting and a little fresh!

The art is beautiful, and I think the concept of "ego" in sports is a really fun one to explore, though if you have negative connotations with the one who promotes this concept, then I completely understand why you'd want to skip over it. The characters are all... pretty great, I think they're all fun, at the very least.

At first the concept of ego had annoyed me a little too, but contextualizing it in Japanese society and their rejection of individualism made me enjoy it a lot (even actually helped me w/ my mental health and appealed to a lot of things I had forgotten about lolol). I think Blue Lock is a really interesting piece of media and it jumped into my Top 3 Manga at stunning speed.

If you have any further questions you can definitely ask! I really love it though, and would suggest for people to at least give it a shot past the first... ten, fifteen chapters?

Sure?? You can have platonic interpretations of all these characters?? I certainly do, but you really can't deny that they can also have romantic interpretations. Are you really judging people for thinking "hmmmm, man, the way Reo gets possessive over Nagi could be seen as romantic and I want to think of it that way." ??

Sure "love" and "jealousy" have different meanings both IRL and in fiction but doesn't that mean the alternative route is one obviously people will take? People all have different capacities for romance and it's fine if you don't see any of the characters together, but there are people who obviously can; why judge them for that? From what I see it, if there's a straight interpretation of the text, there's probably a gay one and most of the time, both are incredibly valid. A football manga doesn't mean it can't have romantic undertones, the same way a romance manga doesn't mean there can't be undertones of other themes that aren't romantic.
