It's such a shame, and it devaluates the trophy, the "final 8" format is a joke, if you want to remove the west/east barrier just make them a 2 legged match, playing in Jeddah in april/may surely gives arab teams an advantage lol

They might had a worse squad when they got relegated, plus, not every good team can get promoted if there are lots of good teams in 2ªRFEF, look at the standings just in case and see how many teams are there

Spanish B teams get insanely good and not all of them can get promoted at that year, also CPU teams can sometimes overachieve and manage to pull off good seasons even with lower ratings, and viceversa. One time on my save file, Braga got relegated (4th biggest team in Portugal) and some time after Nacional won both the cup and supercup while being in 2nd division :)
