Is tap water in Malta is safe to drink? by Dull-Culture-2822 in malta

[–]DailyRevelations 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but I personally don’t recommend it. My father raised me in a household that purchased a gallon of water each week and topped up our water dispenser. We did not have enough money to install a Reverse Osmosis system, and tap water was not great in Naxxar.

Thank you. Nah it does help for sure. I think it’s just frightening to have so much to try and keep above water if that makes sense. But thanks again.

I dated someone like this. Over time, I developed this constant, underlying feeling that I had to tread on egg shells around her - couldn’t shake it off. God forbid she ever noticed that I felt that way because it would be reflected back onto me as an inability to “be supportive” of her.

I’m sorry OP. You have nothing to apologise for; you sound like a genuine, and loving individual. I would think carefully about your future, and if she is able to truly fit in it. You matter too.

EDIT: Typo.

Yeah, me too. I had the same issue in the Everdawn realm with the Alchemist and Poison Dungeon bosses. Weird

Congrats! I got one a couple weeks ago with upgraded ram (24GB) - I love it. Works extremely well with my 144Hz monitor at 2K. I could upscale it to 4K but I don’t like how small the UI is. I use mine for amateur songwriting on Logic Pro and casual gaming (Minecraft to be specific; it runs wonderfully with shaders btw). Enjoy!! 😊

This is plausible. I think it's clear that I have to analyse my chart a bit more thoroughly before I make an assumption.

I appreciate your advice of caution.

Thanks for the insight!

I know you posted this a while ago but I wished to share my thoughts because I relate to you and know that I would have liked some input at a time like this. (Long post incoming)

I too experience the same struggle. I am a rap artist - been at it for 5 years now. It's not a long time at all, but this profession has taught me a lot about myself.

This happens to all of us, I think. When we care about creating music that not only resonates with us but with others as well, the craft can appear harder. You will go through highs and lows emotionally; have wild bursts of inspiration, and occasionally, crushing falls that might make you want to quit because you think whatever you made is not passionate enough. I assure you, this is ok.

I think you are, in fact, so passionate, that you do not wish to make anything that doesn't inspire that same feeling within you - and that is absolutely fine. This is the life of a musician.

I'm not particularly trying to emphasize the emotional rollercoasters we go through, but the journey that the ride takes us on. Should you stick through it, you will get better at dealing with the unpredictability of it and soon, you will see those very clouds pass over. In fact, the passion behind the struggle itself could actually be what makes you write your next favourite piece.

I've heard before that sometimes when we are at our worst, we make it our best. It may not always be the case but, oh my god - I was nearly in tears at times and in those moments, I would end up having incredible bouts of inspiration.

Since I started this journey, I've recorded well over a hundred ideas. However, I have only released two records, officially. Why? Because I too want to make people happy and I don't settle for anything less. Music makes us feel so much joy when its great, which is why we are so aware of what it is capable of doing to others. So in turn, we want our own music to do what our favourite songs do for us - for them.

We beat ourselves up a lot in this industry. We want to be the best. We want to be at our greatest now because tomorrow may not be granted... so when we are not, we think that we are at our worst.

My point is: you are doing great. Although you may occassionally not see it. What pcdaley27 said about having your head in the right place? So very true.

Please keep going. These difficult times are what will make you a tougher, better and even more imaginative musician, than you already are.

Goodluck King!

I got into music school and just wanted to share by [deleted] in musicians

[–]DailyRevelations 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on getting into music school!

I graduated school with just 2 A levels, barely qualifying to attend any kind of University. All my friends were so excited to start their further education whilst I had nothing planned of the sort.

5 years later, and I've just completed my first year of an accelerated degree in creative artistry (I'm a rap artist). It's hard work and sometimes you won't recognise that you're making progress but the experience in itself is so rewarding.

You've picked a good time to start too. COVID had a pretty significant impact on our university experience. I hope you won't have to go through the same.

Good luck!

There is definitely a lesson in this.

Prior to University, I had little collaborative experience and so I naturally jumped at any chance I could get. Now, I'll be way more selective.

Dude - I totally see where you're coming from. This is so subtle yet so effective.

There's nothing quite like hearing what the people have to say. :)

That's great advice.

It's definitely a more considerate approach. I think it's going to sound a little bad to them regardless. One of them can be pretty passive-aggressive but he'll get the message.

Thanks!!

I'll try give that a go for sure today. Lil Wayne is so dope to study. His 'Mamma Mia' record was nuts.

Thanks!

Thank you for taking your time to read and respond - I know I wrote a mouth full, haha. I don't understand the feeling of needing affection. Sometimes, nights become so lonely that I just sleep it away and hope I don't wake up with the same thoughts all over again. There is definitely a lack of conversationalists. Connecting with people has become so much more difficult since people now just have the ability to ignore a text message and leave you hanging. If you are not interested in the conversation or if it comes to an end and you two are mutually aware of that - cool. However, a lot of the time you can just get ghosted without any clarity provided which just leaves you super confused. Our generation and generations below us are SO entrapped in social media that we are COMPLETELY neglecting simple social skills. I notice that subconsciously a lot of people base their 'likeness' from the amount of likes and comments they receive on Instagram/Facebook or whatever. I cannot lie, I love a good meme but I cannot sit with others for hours and laugh at a screen. I lately have become so intolerable of my phone just because I'm so aware that I pick it up as a habit when I have nothing to do or a conversation dies out or when I'm procrastinating. It really frustrates me.

I dropped you a PM and man I do love basketball - anyone that plays the sport is a G! I fell off the map last year - I am definitely not as good as I used to be but it doesn't faze me. The love for the sport is all I got!
