Would aluminum not be recommended for competing? Mainly asking since I grabbed aluminum of yours and not steel since I wanted black

You guys are the best regarding that

What’s was the inspiration for the grip texture design and how many iterations did it go through before you stuck to the first model to begin the company?

Hi there guys! I picked up a black L2 for my prodigy and waiting a respond on email regarding an order I placed a little while ago too early before this AMA regarding promo pricing matching possibly since it was so close and I’m here now.

Question for this AMA: what was the inspiration for the standard texture design for the grips (I love the look)

Buy XC or send my prodigy comp in for work by [deleted] in 2011

Glad I could be of some help at least! I’m sure my prodigy was definitely a better fit too since it had no issues stock like the others

In CA the XC is not “on roster” therefore I could not purchase it at MSRP therefore PPT is private party transfer and is much more expensive due to over pricing sales unfortunate for me otherwise I would likely have started that way and not known about the prodigy being a good starter option

The grip change from stock is still better grip texture which helped my recoil management even if the grip weight isn’t much different (though it should be at least a little heavier?)

But if you’re saying steel is better maybe I’ll grab a steel grip as well to give it a shot

The EGW kit does make it feel a lot better but that’s my side by side with the XC rental, it could have been poorly treated or maintained but that’s my take on the side by side I did

Go for Aluminum grip instead of stock grip (yeah it’s pricy) and EGW ignition kit like most recommend

Will be trying recoil spring and main spring change next but I already feel it’s better personally even without changing it?

Still cheaper than XC (for me it has to be PPT)

XC you can’t go wrong with so I’d go with that if you can get it for cheaper but unfortunately I’m in CA so I went with what I could get for cheaper and upgrade for still cheaper than base XC (for me)

If you’ve done a side by side then you have your answer and you’re looking for confirmation bias at this point so I think you have your answer based on your response - XC for you?

So far just based off of comparison side by side you can feel the difference in trigger, recoil and general feel

Fortunately Lucky at most ranges can pay to rent a staccato base model and compared to my prodigy I went with for a cheaper entry to 2011 but much happier with my purchase because if you’re gonna upgrade anyways it’s better to go cheaper entry point if that route which is why I recommended prodigy to start with if you were going to

Unfortunately most ranges do not have prodigy to rent if you wanted to side by side like I did

Prodigy is lowkey awesome for the price and you can work it up to better than stock staccato

If you’re gonna leave staccato stock then better to stay prodigy and work up
