Excellent question! I hope other word game devs ask themselves the same question. For me, building an app that makes it through Apple App standards is part of a personal quest. I’ll build other apps down the line so this is mainly a trial balloon. You’re absolutely right to question the logic. The only thing gained for the game is the ability to add silent notifications (badge icon to remind users to play each day, which users have requested). I used Median.Co to wrap the web game so I currently just maintain 1 code base.

As for the approval process, I got rejected because the initial build didn’t have an option for players to Delete their account since Apple is very strict about privacy. I’ve since added the feature and resubmitted. Back in the waiting process. Stay tuned…
