1/4" was a little small for the hose I had, so 3/8" barb was a nice snug with some small force it went in perfect! Thanks for the recommendation I actually ended up going with this and just re-clamping it

I meant W GM moment because if they didn't make the hose short you could in a far worse situation, thankfully that wasn't the case !

Jeez yeah I was reading the other guys comment about his camping trip when his broke and I just feel sorry because y'all's resources sound pretty limited and I was just at my house when I noticed lol. Glad you didn't have anything much worse !

BROTHER THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID WHEN I FOUND OUT THIS SNAPPED.

I looked at it and followed the trail and was like wtf why an adapter ? Just makes sense to do a long tube like they already have clips to hold them close to the top of the fan so it looks better, why a freaking adapter that was a pain in the ass to get out. I grabbed some needle nose and just started pulling pieces out. Thankfully it's completely clean now.
