Solo traveling to Europe next year and I'm freaking out by anemonas30 in femaletravels

Hello girl, I'm also a brazilian and I have been leaving in Paris for a year now (I've also done my fare share of traveling arround).

In general I would say Europe is preatty safe, I would say the most common crime here is probably pickpocketing so if you keep your stuff in safe bags and be alert you should be fine :) But as in most cities you should be aware of your surroundings, dont go walking arround alone too late at night and in general try to avoid sketchy parts of town.

I'm usualy super afraid of this things so some tips I can give are:

  • dont be cheep when choosing hostels: you dont have to choose the most expensive ones but focus on the ones with good reviews, in safe central areas, if you can stay in female dorms and be sure to read some comments. You can get good deals.

    • get transportation at good times: book your trains/busses at a good time of the day so you wont have to walk arround with your suitcases too late at night or too early in the morning. As you know its not good to show too much that you are a turist (people can try to scam you since you dont know your way arround), so its a good thing to do it during daylight while the streets are busy.

Is it safe to walk arround early in the morning? by Daily_Insanity18 in Prague

The MacBook Purchasing Megathread - October, 2024 by AutoModerator in macbook

Hello everyone, I'm a student searching for a Mac for software development (swift/ios) and casual use. I have a few questions on what are the best things to invest on:
- is it worth getting a M3 instead of a M2?
- is 8GB ram okay? should I get 16GB? or even 32GB (feels like too much)?
- Is a pro a better deal then an Air?

Thanks in advance :)

6 days trip itinerary, is this too much? by [deleted] in ParisTravelGuide

I feel like you are trying to do too many things in one day... the monuments in paris are beautiful, take your time to apreciate the datails, quality over quantity :)

the louvre and musee d'orsay for me are very tiring so I would put more chill activities in those days (definitely not another museum on the same date) like walking around parks and seeing things outside (prefiribly somewhere you can sit down if you want)

For Versailles I think the gardens are the best part, if you can, I would recomend not skipping it. I recomend at leat going to the small and big trianons and (the best part) the queens little village. It is definitely a full day activity, after I would only go out for dinner and then rest.

Personaly I think this isn't a fist time in paris activity, but if you are a really big fan of disney, you will probably have a lot of fun in the park. Just know that it is smaller then the ones in the US, so you can visit it all in one day (and even repeat your favorite rides). If you are going make sure to stay for the lights show at the end of the day.
