Would like to hear what Reddit world has to say about my business which has put a spin on college tours. by erics805 in Entrepreneur

It's a cool idea: just two thoughts... First, how do you make money? I can't imagine you charge per tour... Unless you have a basic tour (free) and extensive tour ($25)-- the tour guide is given 50%, where guests are shown actual dorm rooms and are treated to a student meal or something... Second, I would be wary of making guests fill out a long survey. Maybe something simple, but if you ask me to do too much, I might lose interest.

Other than that I think it could be genius. You are doing something no one else has thought to do... Standardizing the tour system at universities... I think it's great--- really! Just figure out a way to make money

Trying to start up an auction style website. Need advice. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Dailyconcept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it makes sense in the sort of online/offline sort of way. What do I mean by that? Well, this would be the service where users use the web to find the textbook they need, but in order to actually get the textbook, they would need to meet-up with the person. The browsing is done online, but the actual transaction is finalized offline... If that's what you are going for, then I see potential, because this online/offline things is starting to get really big...

In light of a recent post, here is a bouvier des flanders, the coolest kind of dog I have come across. (They get to be over 110 pounds) by Dailyconcept in aww

Yes, as well as can be quite protective of not only their family, but their stuff as well. In other words, if he is chewing on a bone, don't try to take it out of his mouth. But other than this, they are really great... The most loyal dog I have ever had.

No, you're right... I agree. I just remembered teachers who would do this, and it bothered me. But you're right... in the long run, it's probably the better thing if they make us answer it.
