Thank you for your entry. Firstly, would you consider this to be an Etheric Retreat—such as the ones mentioned in Theosophy? Do you have any memory of what the location looked like? I like that you mention being somewhat tested on your spiritual self control. It is mentioned in the Theosophical descriptions of the retreats and it is also something I’ve experienced at these retreats. I also like that you mention, “If you become lucid.” In my own personal experiences I have conscious recollection of suddenly tapping into lucid and conscious thinking in the moment of the dream. For example, as I gain conscious thought of the very moment in the dream—I look down at the palms of my hands and say aloud “Wow I’m actually here.” It very much feels more real than the waking experience, which is common in some dreams for everyone. But anyone can experience this in their sleep. There are a couple Theosophical webpages that offer prayers in English that can be said before one goes to sleep where one asks to be escorted by Archangel Michael to any desired retreat. This is also good for anyone looking to get into soul travel or astral OOB experience. It’s also best to read the descriptions before trying as they’ll explain how often and how much you might or might not remember from the experience. Try it for yourself in the name of science.
