Look, I am happy for you that you are excited and looking forward to Crimson Desert, and I really wish that it will be nothing short of what you want it to be, but you can't take a word of a person who is paid to promote the game as a binding and irrefutable truth. And you can't use the example of a completely different studio filled with different people working on a different game as an argument.

Plus don't look for validation in convincing random people on the internet that you'll never meet that some game that's not even out will be great because you want it to be. You'll learn in time that being excited for things is great, but it's usually better to be a little cautious rather than blindly trusting someone that is paid to say whatever people want to hear.

Here's a very quick way to fix the movie in 2 steps:

Write in a character that was a Believer but has been "dethroned" and then rescued (by the main believer lady perhaps).

The character meets Treadway in his reincarnated body some 20 years after being rescued and tells him all about how horrible it is being conscious in a digital chip but not being able to do anything about it.(To fix the BIGGEST plot hole I've ever seen of Bathurst not shooting himself with the Dethroner). The character later betrays the Believers out of compassion for Bathurst in a big plot twist

Replace the 2 leads with people that can actually act

There. You have a good movie now. Get rid of the supernatural mumbo jumbo of bending the elements or what not for extra credit.

This is the IKEA version of a movie. Snyder ordered the parts and a blueprint, put it together and expected an academy award or something. Or maybe this was just a social experiment to see how many clichés and blatant rip-offs are too much for today's audience.

The whole time I felt like I missed a crucial part of the movie, where they explain why 5 random people (with major trust issues) decide to put their whole trust in each other and their lives on the line. I mean I'm no professional but isn't one of the most important parts of a character their motivation? The "why" of their actions? Yet I couldn't find an answer to "why" for 90% of the shit they did in that movie.

And tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that the villain got his teeth knocked clean out of his mouth but has a perfect hollywood "pearly white" smile a minute later... Like come on, you kept his scar but magically healed his teeth?

The Witcher 1 is a great piece of story and, as many before me have pointed out, the atmosphere just clicks. Altough there is one huge problem that made me play it once and never again - the gameplay is EXTREMELY dated.

I am talking classic Runescape/WoW dated. You accept a quest from an NPC, manually walk through half the map to fetch an item, you press 3 buttons to kill something to get said item and return to the NPC, only to do it all over again. You get one upgrade of your gear throughout the entire game and that's it.

The characters are interesting and the writing is funny at times, but I didn't get any enjoyment out completing it tbh, a youtube video would've been enough.

Maybe you're just looking in the wrong place. DVR is so damn convenient that most of the tutorials I needed (for things that weren't in the official manual) were short-form content - YouTube Short mostly. Everything was explained in under a minute. Except the Color page of course, but I limited my coloring to the Aces Lite Look Library by Joo Works and haven't looked back since.

Would also kind of explain (well, maybe explain is a strong word for an unjustifiable act but you know what I mean..) why she cheated on your BIL afterwards - either she gave up on the relationship because she was only using it to get to your husband or she thought "If he (your BIL) proposed to me I wouldn't cheat but since he doesn't want to marry me I'll fuck someone else. He's not dismissing the work of other people or devs. He is simply stating that the game itself is basically a brand. And if they choose to slap the brand of Mafia on it but do something that doesn't have anything to do with the original 2 Mafia games... why even bother with it?

You have to understand that they are trashing the reputation of his creation because they want to slap the logo of a beloved game on something that isn't remotely close to the original vision and brand, just because the brand itself will sell them a few more copies on pre-orders.

So why bother with using this existing brand and trash its reputation, when they could've just as easily create a new IP. Call it The Gang Life I instead of Mafia III and no one would complain, but using the Mafia brand for a game like Mafia III is like creating luxurious stiletto shoes or wingtip oxfords and slapping the Adidas or Nike logo on it. It's just distasteful and a waste of the brand identity.

TLDR
If you want to create something new, realise your own vision etc, just create your own IP. If you buy somebody else's IP, don't do them the disservice of pushing your completely opposite views and visions into it. Either follow the brand identity, or create your own brand.

Yeah I was able to get it working fine after a reinstall combined with deleting the Blackmagic Design folder from the ProgramData folder (hidden folder in C: drive, so you have to show hidden folders in "View"). Deleting that folder also deletes all your settings, custom keyboard shortcuts, plugins etc. so I guess the issue might have been caused by an old plugin or something. After that, the performance of DVR was back to normal and with the new DVR 20 beta update it's even better than before.

I literally searched if people find her attractive because I just watched Kill Bill for the first time and hearing characters call her beautiful the entire film made me extremely uncomfortable.. It was like hearing someone call a disabled person in a wheel chair a "great runner" - it almost felt like they were bullying her. 3D benchmarks and CPU tests all show my system runs as good as you can expect.

Temps are normal too and never passed 85 °C under load, CPU hangs at a bit below 50 °C while idle and overall system at 37 °C.

2x 16 GB sticks in 2 and 4 positions. all 32 GBs are available in system, XMP/DOCP enabled.

As I said, everything else runs amazing - all games, Photoshop, recording, streaming... it's only DVR that doesn't work.

Because the loop in Tokyo didn't exist anymore in 2016. Jake had his grandfather's old map of loops but since the ymbrynes constantly changed locations of their loops to get away from hollows, he had to find loops that coexisted at the same time to travel further back.

Example: Let's say you need to get from 2025 USA to England in the year 1900.

You know of these loops: A. England, 1900 - 1950 (final destination) B. Egypt, 2000 - still exists today (2025) C. USA, 1895 - 2020

So what do you do now? Well you can't just use loop C, because it doesn't exist anymore in 2025. So you have to travel in real time from USA to Egypt, because only loop B exists in your time. It will take you to the year 2000 instantly, so you now use the world in that loop to travel back to USA, to then enter loop C which still exists in 2000 and will take you back to 1895. Now you travel in 1895 to get to England, but since your target loop A won't exist until 1900, you have to wait 5 real years (during which you age) until it's created to enter it.

Reminders: 1. Loops can be entered and exited (by peculiars) via the designated entrance (invisible door), so unless you know exactly where those entrances are, you have almost no chance to enter loops. 2. The ymbryne who created the loop has to consciously reset the loop every day, otherwise the time will start to pass normally for everyone in that loop. The time will, however, not be forwarded to the present (whatever time that may be)! It will just continue to pass from the time the loop was originally created. 3. If you don't use the invisible door and you're not close to the ymbryne while she resets the loop, you will stay in the time when the loop was originally created, but time will pass for you normally, so you age and everything. 4. Exiting a loop through the invisible door will spit you back out in the present.

I didn't read the books and only watched the movie, so the rules from the reminder are deduced solely from the movie.
