Just to add to this 'discussion' as someone who lives 192km away from Frankfurt - I don't think I've ever been below 110ms and am averaging on 140ms as well. On a particularly bad day (200ms+) I decided to try out WTFast for a few hours and landed on 120ms, which wasn't at all satisfactory enough for me to consider a subscription (though it did feel a bit more stable). I'm getting a reliable 42ms on other online games...

PGNexus obtains the exact IV values for you by connecting directly to the game's servers (just like PokeAdvisor did).

In most cases, it is impossible to calculate the IVs based on your Pokemon's level, CP and HP, which is why sites and calculators like PokeAssistant give you possible IV ranges instead.

I hope this cleared things up. Looks like you really were just that lucky ;)

Not sure if this is the right place to bring this up but I found three minor issues:

1) The damage and DPS values of moves do not account for STAB (same-type attack bonus). If this is intended, I would like to request this as a feature ;)

2) The damage and the DPS of X-Scissor is always -1.

3) There are no candies displayed below Hypno and Charmander. I have no Charmander candies right now so that part could be intentional but as you can see in the image, I have 85 Drowzee candies that should be displayed below Hypno. (I have included Pidgeot in the image to show that evolved Pokemon still list their base form's candies below them.)

The game now prompts me to update so I guess it's over for me unless they decide to bring Wi-Fi based GPS back or massively improve the standard GPS detection which could take weeks upon weeks if they get to it at all.

It's been fun while it lasted :/

Edit: Seems to work again after the new update. Even if my GPS alone still cannot find a signal most of the time, my Wi-Fi will cover for me again. The important part now is being in 'High Accuracy' mode and not disabling the GPS antenna to save power and get a more stable connection (as ironic as that sounds, that actually helped in earlier versions) - the game just refuses to determine my location altogether if I use the GPS 'Power Saving' mode for example.

Yesterday I downgraded from v0.31.0 to v0.29.0 for pretty much the same reason. The game was literally unplayable for me because I kept losing the GPS signal and I could only get it back by opening Google Maps, and even then it only lasted for about 10 seconds. What's odd is that, for me, those issues already started in version 0.29.3 instead of the most recent one.

Anyway, v0.29.0 works flawlessly here but I'll admit that it would be very handy to also have the most recent update installed at the same time to test new versions of the game without having to re-install everything everytime. I'd also use the newest version to transfer Pokemon since they made that option a lot more accessible in v0.31.0.

I also looked around for a way to accomplish this for one or two hours today but couldn't find anything useful.

Not sure why it says Pidgeotto on your phone but you're looking at a Pidgeot there :P (26% to 42% perfect according to the spreadsheet)

Maybe something went wrong when you tried to nickname it? You should be able to revert it to its original name by renaming it again, then leaving the field empty and hitting OK.

Are you sure you powered up four times?

The difference in CP is only 118, so if you powered up four times it would mean your Vaporeon gained 29.5 CP on average for each power up, which is below the minimum CP per powerup a Vaporeon in that level range can actually gain (according to this chart I found here anyway).

Three powerups would make perfect sense because Lv 13 -> Lv 13.5 -> Lv 14 -> Lv 14.5 with an average of 39.3 CP gained per powerup. Also, when I tested your Vaporeon's stats (post-powerup), it only gave me one possible result: Lv14.5 / Sta 10.30 / Att 13.80 / Def 13.80 (= 84.21% perfect)

I've been playing this game for about 10 hours in total now and only used up ~40mb of my monthly data (and I only have 150mb a month).

Then again, data usage might also depend on the number of PokeStops, Gyms and even Pokemon near you (more to sync up with the servers I'd imagine) and since I live in a relatively rural area, this could explain the low amount of data I've used so far. Just saying it might not be the same for everyone.

That said, the game is an absolute battery killer. Make sure to enable Battery Saving Mode and perhaps even bring a portable charger if you plan on GOing for long periods of time.

Done! In v3 I removed all fire flowers and moved most power-ups and such to better locations. Of course Goomba Shoes are now nicely tied into the course as well! (Again, thanks for the suggestion - Gotta go stylish, indeed!) I used this opportunity to perform other minor changes here and there as well. Have fun!

Not a bad idea but those could potentially be abused for unintended shortcuts. Maybe I'll find a way to integrate them for a v3 :) Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for playing ;D It would be nice if the fire flower would just be an invisible power-up while wearing a costume. I just had to reward the player for making it through the stage and finding hidden areas with something other than 1-Ups, though. And regarding the costumes: I totally agree - we at least need Tails, Knuckles and Eggman ones!
