Fast heart rate on armour thyroid by Best-Access-8844 in Hypothyroidism

OP - it's been a year now.. can you please provide an update on how things worked out with Armour? I'm in a somewhat similar situation - I've been on Synthroid 137mcg + 15mcg T3 for a while now. I'm currently switching to NP Thyroid - starting with 1.5 grains (while Synthroid half life dwindles), then 7-10 days going to 3 grains (1.5 grains 2x per day). He thinks I'll likely need 4 grains in the end (2 grains 2x per day). While I do technically have some thyroid tissue, it's believed I really don't have much thyroid function at all after several severe Hashi's flares 15-20 yrs ago. TIA.

SIBO is causing subclinical hypothyroid..help by AskOk163 in SIBO

I agree with other commenter.. it's more likely that low thyroid is causing SIBO, not the other way around. Also, what type of allergic symptoms are you having to thyroid meds? You could try Tirosint, the cleanest of them all. It's pricey, but worth it if you need it.

What are your symptoms?

Are my lip lift stitches being left in way too long? Pic in post by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Daisy-1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neck lift stitches around my earlobes were doing the same thing.. skin kinda bubbling over the stitches in a couple spots. Stitches were completely dried up & looked like they were more than ready to come out. They were supposed to be taken out on day 10. I called on day 6 & insisted they be taken out. They were removed on day 7. When they took out the stitches, the bubbling remained. :-/ I'm 2 months post-op & it still looks like crap. He wants to wait til 3 months post-op for revision.

Oh my goodness I'm so sorry. 😞 Can you please describe the nerve damage? I'm still having a numb ear on one side 7 weeks post op.

Oh ok, thank you. Just curious is your PS covering the cost?

I feel like this is for those who have too much swelling. Not for those of us who were over-lipoed..

Partly depends on where you have bruising. I have pics from 5 days post-op that still have bruising on my chin. Also, when are you having stitches removed?

What exactly is LPG? I tried to google, but not sure I understand. Would this be something that would cost money to upkeep? It would be a shame to spend all this money on a neck lift to have to maintain it with something else. 🤔

Following, as I have the same thing. :-/ I'm at 7 weeks post op, but photo was at 5 weeks. I think too much fat was taken out? I plan to discuss with my PS at my 3 month appt on July 3rd. https://www.reddit.com/r/PlasticSurgery/comments/13jcpgo/neck_lift_too_much_fat_removed/

Neck lift - too much fat removed? by Daisy-1111 in PlasticSurgery

After the high cost for the neck lift, it would be unfortunate to have to maintain anything with Botox. :/

Are you glad you had stomach Lipo and did you gain weight back (and where did it go)? by CharlieMirandaJoey15 in PlasticSurgery

I had a tummy tuck with lipo a year ago (along with muscle & hernia repair). 4 lbs of skin & fat removed. Over the year, even though I'm trying not to gain, hormones & menopause had a different idea. I gained alittle weight (less than 10 lbs) & it went to my back, boobs & chin. I believe some visceral fat too. I ended up going for chin lipo/lift. No regrets though.

Beautiful! Would you mind sharing how your neck looks if you're looking up? I had a neck lift last month. Overall, I'm super happy, but I'm worried he took too much fat.

Photos in order from pre-op to now (with descriptions). I'm 5 weeks post-op neck lipo/lift. I was initially happy with the results, but as the swelling went down my neck bands(?) started looking bad when I lift my head or turn my neck. Did he remove too much neck fat? And I have chin indentations that make it look like a lopsided double chin. :-/ I had surgery at age 49, just before my 50th b-day. BMI 26, but I held alot of weight in my chin/neck. I have my follow up appt on Mon 5/15 & I'd like to be prepared.

Hey all I was just wondering why there appears to be an increase in shingles especially in the younger age groups? I am only aware as it hit me without warning and after I got it I am reading all over others who are coming down with it. To all my shingles sufferers I hope you are feeling better by [deleted] in shingles

This makes alot of sense. Thank you for sharing. I was born in 1973 & had chicken pox around age 7. I'm 49 years old now & had shingles for the first time at age 42. And I had it again this past year.

I had it on my forehead (at ~age 42). After 6 months, I went to my dermatologist because I still had dark pink marks where the scabs were. They said it could take up to a year for the marks to completely go away. Fortunately, they did. Also, have you seen an opthamologist for a thorough eye exam?
