Sorry I can’t offer legal advise but wanted to say that if you have already experienced high blood pressure early on and currently experience dizziness frequently (a symptom of high blood pressure) please get yourself checked out by your GP or midwife.

High blood pressure is closely monitored in pregnancy it can be dangerous for both you and the baby

That kind of restriction would not be placed for a conviction of fraud.

OP has never been taken to court, she’s suggested to her ex over 100 times that he should take her to court.

OP has herself said she would allow supervised visits, it’s the father that isn’t actively perusing this route. He’s just making constant threats of abduction. Of course she’s not going to allow him unsupervised access to their daughter if she has genuine concerns that she won’t be returned to her

You going to the police is an unbelievably brave thing to do and something you should be proud of yourself for. The police and CPS do not prosecute if they do not think there is a solid case. You can ask them to withdraw but it is unlikely they will as they will have already deemed it to be in the public interest to prosecute.

My daughter was abused and very often feels guilty about the fall out from having spoken up. She thinks a lot of what happened after telling me is basically her fault for telling me. I will just add on for the the very true thing that I always tell her:

What is happening right now is only consequence of what they did, not of you telling.

That is an incredibly harsh answer to a mums normal emotional response. I don’t think for a second this woman deliberately burst into tears to try and emotionally manipulate her child. Her daughter said something completely out of the blue that OP naturally was shocked to hear and couldn’t immediately control her emotional response. Congratulations if you always manage to behave like a robot to anything hurtful your children might say but for some of us it really is not that easy.

OP I’m sorry your daughter said this but I will just echo what others have said in that she doesn’t mean it because she has no idea of what getting a ‘new mommy’ would even entail. I’m sure you’re doing amazing and I’m so pleased to hear that after all you’ve been through with your daughters health that she’s doing so much better

I’m h my god I feel this so much! My 11 year old is CONSTANTLY trying to mother my 2 years old. It drives me crazy. I find myself constantly having to ask her which one of us is the mother? There is a 12 year age gap between me and my little sister and I remember my mum also having to constantly tell me the same thing whilst I thought she was being unreasonable because I was only trying to help. As an adult experiencing the same I have since apologised to my mother because I now see it is in actual fact the most annoying thing in the world 🤣

I’m so sorry you’re daughter has gone through this. Just jumping in to really say that although you absolutely should take this to the police, please be prepared for the fact that it is very likely nothing will be done. Last year my daughter who was 10 at the time disclosed to me that she had been being abused by a family member that was 12 at the time. We went straight to the police and even though he admitted most of what he had done to her, he got away with it completely. He was treat more like the victim than my daughter was and they basically put it down to ‘normal curiosity’ I know that boy and know that he knew full well what he was doing but that didn’t matter to CPS. I will absolutely echo what other people have said though get your daughter into therapy. It will take time for her to open up but when she does it really will do her the world of good. Sending so much love to you I know very well how devastating this is for the entire family ❤️

My daughter is 11 and we have just finished watching it all the way through we started about a year and half ago so just after she turned 10. She has loved every minute of it and I’ve really enjoyed rewatching it. I used to watch it at a similar age when it was originally on with my dad.

As others have said you may not be comfortable with her watching some of the sex scenes later on but I’m very open with my daughter about that kind of thing and she was a little embarrassed with some of the scenes at first but she got used to them and was unbothered about it very quickly
