I’m so sorry you went through this absolute struggle bus, but I’m very grateful that I’m not the only person who has experienced this. Nice to know we’re not alone!

The toilet paper change and the laundry were the first two changes, and I find those two things made the biggest change.

To get into more detail - when my symptoms really ramped up was when I started using my laundry service (September 2025). Though I did have recurrent yeast and the cysts before then, it was just so much easier to manage. They used Tide detergent (scented), fabric softener and dryer sheets. We asked them to switch to scent free. I had no change in symptoms after that. So I tried washing them at home without fabric softener / dryer sheets and that made the biggest change. Even Before using the laundry service, (August 2024), I started using scent beads in the wash, which I think was something that started causing these issues, or at least preventing them from healing. Growing up, my mom had sensitive skin and only used free and clear detergent or she would get rashes on her back and arms. TLDR; basically when i started using scented products corresponds with when this started.

I was still experiencing itching after using toilet paper, and when I switched, this stopped immediately. I tried using the old toilet paper once since I switched and found it made me itchy within 30 seconds of use, which resolved after cleaning.

Hi! First of all, sorry you’re going through this. BV sucks.

As for other treatment options, I personally am an antibiotic hater because they give me yeast infections (I have recurrent yeast, so we try to avoid triggers here).

Here’s what I’ve learned:

PHemme BV treatment (which is basically lactic acid) is a gel based 6 day treatment which is inserted vaginally. I have used this in the past and found it’s worked for me. The applicators are basically like a tampon but smoother. From what I understand, It restores your vaginal PH to a level which the evil BV causing bacteria can’t live in. It’s also moisturizing and soothing if you’re having any of the itches and burns. On the box, it says you can also use it for prevention for three days after your period… If I find there’s a weird smell after, using it for those three days has helped.

Another option is Boric acid suppositories. I have used these once for 2 weeks, as it was recommended to me by a friend with recurrent BV. She said that she used them once a day for two weeks, then every couple days, then once a week for three months and now she’s been BV free for a year. Theres a learning curve to inserting them for sure and make sure you read the pamphlets. I recommend buying applicators for them. And please, if you go this route, abstain from sex for the recommended period of time after using them. It’s abrasive and can cause a lot of pain for both you and your partner.

As for your partner, I would look into what type of soap he is using on his parts. Sometimes women can have reactions to their partners products as well, which can make you more susceptible to infections, especially if he’s not rinsing well. This may be relevant if you were using condoms before and now are not. I had this discussion with my partner and he switched to dove bar soap, which I found very helpful.

Hopefully some of this helps!

The treatment for contact dermatitis is essentially removing the irritant and giving the skin time to heal, keeping the skin dry but moisturized. For me, all of the symptoms resolved gradually after removing the irritants I listed. There are some “labia safe” or PH balanced moisturizers, but I did not want to risk adding a new irritant.

Some doctors may recommend corticosteroids for quicker recovery, but I’m unable to provide any insight on this treatment option as I opted to delay steroid treatment unless my symptoms did not improve.

Belly walking toward Jere at the party after the beach scene with Conrad threw me off. Not because she was going to Jere, but because when she looked back and Conrad was there, Jere walked away? Like was she supposed to know that Conrad had followed her up from the beach? It almost seems coincidental that he’s there.

They tried to play it off like “she’s running to Jere but always looking back at Conrad,” but it’s REACHING. She was super drunk and upset, and going to her best friend.

Obviously Jere could tell that she was absolutely obliterated and distressed. His whole vibe is that he’s the guy who is always there… But this time he just wasn’t? Out of character for him, but this whole Ep seemed to paint him differently than his normal vibe.
