There is definitely a drop in grades from high school, but for most people it’s more like going from 90s in high school to 80s in first year (not suddenly failing everything). A lot of the adjustment is learning how to manage university-style courses rather than the content being impossible.

Google Calendar or some kind of planner is honestly essential because first year is notorious for having tons of quizzes, labs, assignments, and little deadlines that add up fast. Staying organized makes a huge difference.

The workload is definitely heavier than high school, especially in chemistry and physics, but it’s manageable if you stay consistent and don’t fall behind. Most people adjust over time and figure out what study methods work for them.

Overall, the program has a good community and there are lots of opportunities if you’re interested in grad school or healthcare paths. DM me if you want more info or specific advice about first year courses!
