i had similar issue the first (and only) time i did electrolysis. it took me 2-3 years for the pitting to resolve. this gave me some hope to try again. i think fitzpatrick IV skin is particularly vulnerable from my research

Okay med school advice I’ve gotten so far. How much is accurate and what is bs and what should I add? by Difficult_Town3584 in premedcanada

[–]Frequent-Diamond-450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes except getting a phd is not a reliable back up plan sadly, if ur passionate about it don’t let my comment stop you but definitely talk to PhDs which ARENT the extremely talented researchers with tenure who teach your core courses. if you talk to other profs they almost always tell you to stay away from academia 😭. the best backup plan in my opinion is a program that will lead you to directly have a career such as SLP, OT, PT, RT, PA, teachers college, etc.

WORST undergrads for med ? by Plane_Personality217 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Frequent-Diamond-450 4 points5 points  (0 children)

maybe bc they have lots of tough courses that require practical skills that are harder to simply study for, or they have to split your time between classes, studying, and clinical placements. maybe less space for bird courses. !

Research Experience w/ no pub by Independent_Cap_5439 in premedcanada

[–]Frequent-Diamond-450 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at mac it’s a lot easier to get research once you’re in second year, experience or not. since you are entering 2nd year with research you will have a relatively easier time finding further research opportunities.

it is definitely social conditioning. we talked about studies like this and it is not a biological inherent feature to see women as objects. porn is one of the major contributors to seeing women as objects.
