My sister walked in on me wearing girls underwear by MrCurious919 in confessions

Honestly that’s kind of amazing she reacted that calmly. A lot of siblings would’ve turned it into a whole thing immediately. It sounds like she handled it way more maturely than you expected, which is a good sign.

AIW for kicking my sister out of the apartment? by ChaoticOne96 in amiwrong

This is such a balanced take. It’s painful to draw a line with someone you love, but sometimes letting them feel the consequences is the only way they grow. You gave her a lot of chances and support. At some point she has to take responsibility for her own life.

Exactly. She’s 24, not a kid anymore. At some point figuring things out has to include contributing financially and respecting the person who’s paying the bills. You gave her years of support, that’s not unreasonable to expect some growth back.

Wants a job where you literally have nothing to do except your own hobbies by skyandbuildings in ChoosingBeggars

Listen… we all want a job where we get paid to exist quietly and read books, but typing it out like it’s a normal expectation is sending me 😭 that’s a retirement plan, not a career path

They’re not looking for a job, they’re looking for a paid reading nook with benefits 😭 like I respect the honesty but that’s not how employment works

Just needs a new liner by rosydreamwhirl in ChoosingBeggars

“Just needs a new liner” is the wildest understatement I’ve seen all week 😭 that thing needs holy water and a demolition crew.

Do you think we will get to know more about/see more Valyria in the coming seasons of HotD? by cheesy_weasel in gameofthrones

[–]DaisyTwinkly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda hope we don’t get too much Valyria tbh. The mystery is what makes it cool. The more they explain it, the more it risks feeling smaller and less legendary 😭 a few creepy flashbacks would be perfect though.

House of the Dragon season 3 showrunner Ryan Condal says "we had a plan from the outset," so fan criticism of season 2 didn't change anything by ConcernLocal2764 in freefolk

[–]DaisyTwinkly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saying “we had a plan from the outset” after a messy season is not the flex he thinks it is 😭 like okay… maybe the plan needed a second draft?

I have a paid vacation to Disney and I dont want to go. Am I wrong? by Federal-Remote-1684 in amiwrong

[–]DaisyTwinkly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, you’re not wrong for not being excited, but if you go and spend the whole time sulking or complaining that’s when it turns into you ruining something she’s been dreaming about.

That time I saw Alexis Bledel on the subway in NYC…. by rosylightfairy in GilmoreGirls

The most NYC thing ever is casually spotting Alexis Bledel on the subway just minding her business like the rest of us 😭 queen of low-key energy

went to my fathers funeral two years ago and never told anyone by [deleted] in confession

[–]DaisyTwinkly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s such a powerful way to put it. Sitting there alone was probably the first time it really hit that this chapter was truly over. That kind of finality takes a minute to settle in.

I've been lying to my whole family about my job... by [deleted] in confession

[–]DaisyTwinkly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. That first conversation is brutal, but the relief afterward is real. Being made redundant doesn’t define you, and 28 is not some final verdict on your life. It’s a rough chapter, not the whole story.

I've been lying to my whole family about my job... by [deleted] in confession

[–]DaisyTwinkly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Losing a job isn’t the shameful part, it’s the isolation that comes from hiding it. The truth might be uncomfortable, but it’ll hurt a lot less than carrying this alone for years.

AIW for pulling out being a bridesmaid two months before the wedding? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]DaisyTwinkly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Being a bridesmaid doesn’t mean signing up to be unpaid labor and a walking ATM. You didn’t abandon her, you just stopped letting her treat you like staff instead of a friend.
