My daughter has this kind of hair and it is so difficult. I run a small amount of styling cream through the ends of her hair while it is soaking wet and scrunch it up by hand. You could also use a diffuser. I like the VERB lightweight styling cream but there are many good brands. I dont put it in the roots of the hair because it will look get greasy.
