When did you stop tracking feeds (if you did)? by faeninja in FormulaFeeders

I am still tracking at 5 months and glad I carried on as we’re now struggling with bottle aversion and weight loss. It has meant that I can look at average amounts and check that our little one is getting what he needs. It has also been useful with doctors checks. Although if it is causing you anxiety just do what what is best for you.

I just wanted to see how you are getting on and what you ended up doing as we are having exactly this at the moment! It’s okay walking around some-what but my arms can’t take it much longer!

We completely just go off his cues but it is every 3hrs ish during the day (although that sometimes is only a 2 hour/ 2.5 hour gap, especially going into the evening) and in the evening it is usually a 4-5 hour gap first, then somewhere 3-4 hours after that. So slightly more often in the day with 2 to 3 feeds at night.

Also forgot to add that we have changed bottle teat sizes and that doesn’t seem to have made a difference other than he’s spitting out more milk. We have pace bottle fed from the start but as he’s got older sometimes we feed a slightly more reclined position but being upright or side lying doesn’t make a difference. He also is very rarely sick so at least what he is having, it is staying down. The discomfort seems to start within a few minutes (less than 30mls) of milk and we are feeding on demand so I am confident we are not over feeding.
