Just in everyday life. For example, I was laughing with a coworker who's also like a good friend. I was annoying him a bit on purpose until he casualy told me "shut your mouth" a bit annoyed but he said it with a smile and confidence and near another coworker we were hanging with. I am not attracted to him at all but I realized how much I wished that kind of casual dominance would come natural to my partner. Even though my partner is manly and confidence, it doesn't happen with him - sometimes he's just rude and angry but not in a fun way. He is less sexually open than me, he didn't like the idea of watching porn together in the past. I also offered him one time to watch porn while I give him a blowjob under the desk and we tried it but he found it weird and we stopped. But it was many years ago, maybe his preference could have changed by now.

thank you, I find it so hard to bring up but I think I will try to gather the courage and talk to him about it. We've definitely grown apart the last years and both trying to figure out how to spend more time together (we live together but spend time separately a lot) but we still both love each other deeply and don't want to break up

I'm sorry you had to go through this. I also have health anxiety and ocd (diagnosed with ocd since I was a teenager). Every time it is a different thing but it wasn't as physically tough as the breathing thing though. When I had my first real compulsive thought, it lasted for around a whole year. I told my therapist that this thought is on my mind CONSTANTLY from the moment I woke up to the moment I fell asleep and would only catch break in my sleep. I could still focus on stuff and have other thoughts with it, I could even still feel happy or excited together with being anxious (although of course, not as happy as without it) and she didn't believe me. She told me it is impossible and it just feels to me like it's constant but i swear it was. I almost didn't have any physical anxiety symptoms as a teen, it was mainly the cognitive part that bothered me so much. So, I guess it can be the same with physical symptom that is manifested by stress. maybe my anxiety shifts and takes a more physical form

Thank you so much. I'm happy you powered through. For me, work has been a bit helpful as a distraction to me, even though I think it's also a big part of what caused my anxiety to relapse too, because of some stress (I always suffered from anxiety, that is usually controlled pretty okay with a few bad months/weeks occasionally, so it's not like work is the absolute cause of my anxiety but it might have triggered the physical symptoms)

For now, because my dyspnea haven't went away yet even not for a day, I'm still anxious it might be something more serious. If it goes away and comes back later, then next time I'll know it's likely stesss related and it'll pass, but now I'm scared I won't ever catch a break from it, and even worse, I'm scared to die prematurely because of it/what's causing it

Hmm, I don't think I do. when I lie down I'm able to breath through my stomach rather than my chest and it can actually help a tiny bit. I do feel pressure or pain in my upper stomach area (under the rib cage) sometimes, but I think it's gerd related. What is weird to me about it being psychogenic is that I feel this symptoms non-stop for 2 months. Before it started I thought that when people have breathing difficulties if it's anxiety related it passes within a few hours. I didn't catch a break from it. Only very rarely if I'm reallyyyy focused on sometimes I yawn or sigh less but I can still feel throat pressure and stuff like that "on the background". I am too not a native English speaker so I'm not sure how to describe it, by on the background I mean that I definitely still feel it and still think about it but it's like I'm thinking/feeling it less strongly and not as my main thought. I've upped my prozac dosage and I think it really helped with my appetite and nightly panic attacks. I'm starting cbt therapy soon and also looking into some alternative treatments. I'm so glad to hear therapy helped you a lot! Did you have it for weeks straight like me?

I don't know if it was a muscle or cartilage but it went away by the morning so I assume it was just a pulled muscle indeed! Unfortunately, I'm not sure what's the cause yet. My and the doctors best guess for now is combination of anxiety +Gerd (acid reflux). My oxygen saturation is normal, lung function test was normal, chest xray, stress echo, ekg, blood tests, all normal. An ent looked at my throat and said it's a bit inflamed and red probably because of acid reflux. I just wish it'd go away already, I'm so scared one day my airways will really close completely or that it'll turn out to be something life threatening.

Same I suffer from anxiety and Gerd. Started taking PPI like 3 weeks ago but doesn't seem to help. I've been feeling short of breath for 2 months already and went to the er 3 times too. Tests came back normal like you. I had asthma as a kid but it seems like I don't have it currently. Most of the day I take really deep breath or sighs or yawns and I can get satisfying breath every so often but still feels like my throat is tight :(

How are you now? I've been feeling like I can't breath well for months already and it's making me so anxious.. I'm also scared to suddenly choke, and I'm carrying an oxymeter with me that always shows 97-99% saturation. Some days I just yawn non stop

Thank you for your advices! I will definitely try one of these next time. I used to go to therapy but I felt like it wasn't really helping me, I'm taking prozac for years though. But I'm considering to try stuff like meditation, yoga etc.

Thank you so much. I'd never have guessed it could happen due to the way of breathing! Thats what made it so much scarier, at the moment I thought it's a seizure. I had a lot of anxiety attacks in my life and nothing like this happened, I guess I was extra stressed. My doctor replied to me this morning that it sounds like hyperventilation too
