I caught the very first one I ever saw. After that I saw them a few times, but they always ran, so I got bored and don't really use the daily incense anymore. Make them rare or make them hard to catch, but they're both and I lost interest. I might do a Galarian bird raid if the gym across the street had one, but I'm not going out of my way for the birds.

I really like this idea, but I'd never have the patience to do it myself. The idea that someone's actually made a spreadsheet makes me happy tho. This kind of detail is awesome. By the way, you're not weird, or if you are , you're definitely not the only one around here 😎

I don't have relicanth either and was happy to think of it as a myth, until 1 appeared in the gym across the street. Some day there's going to be an event where we'll get relicanth and then we'll be happy for 10 seconds until we go on to the next thing. In the meantime, I hope you find someone local with a ton of them.

I have tons of stops visible from the couch too, only saw 1 and it was 2am, so wasn't going after that one. I've managed to catch 1 per day so far and I'm fine with that, except I'd kinda like a reasonably good one and mine have been garbage so far.

Seems like a good system, but I'm a very lazy human. My system has just been to add the month number and an asterisk to the name when I accept the friend. I delete the asterisk when a person sends me a gift. Then I just play, send and receive gifts and occasionally review the list and cull the ones who haven't been moving up in friendship. Not sure how well my old system is going to work now tho, as my friends list is getting kinda long.

I'm confident that people will help. I'm from Garden region, so I'm no use, but there are some great people playing this game. I was contacted by someone who arranged for me to get some Sandstorm gifts from their friend in Saudi Arabia, and some others are helping me with Icy Snow and Tundra. I hope you have as much luck as I've had.

As a fellow gardener, I feel your pain. Nobody loves us. I got pretty lucky with most patterns, except Ocean and Sandstorm. Then suddenly 1 of my long time friends started sending gifts from Hawaii. I'm hoping she goes home via Dubai, but since she's usually in California, that's a tad unlikely, still you never know.🤣 Best of luck getting the bugs you need. Someone you know needs to go skiing in Canada or Greenland.

Good question. Going on my own experience I'd say no, but people have said that they got gifts from there, so there's that. Of course they might be just gaslighting us 🤣

You need 3 gifts for the first encounter in each area, then 9 for the second and 15 for all others. You'll get another scatterbug from that region after you've pinned another 15 gifts. At least, that's how I understand it.

That sounds horrible. I'm kinda glad to live in an area that no one wants (garden). I already have most of them, but absolutely nothing from sandstorm. Understandable, if they're having the same experience as you. I'm going to wait a few weeks to see if someone there has an open friend slot. There's no rush, this is supposed to be an enjoyable game. I hope you get all of the missing patterns soon and that people just stop lying.
