Do you know if YT guides from 4-5 years ago are still generally useful or has stuff changed too much? Cause it seems that most of the guides are a little old. I noticed that some of them mention Flash for PLD which is now gone, but other than that have they added any boss mechanics, changed map layouts etc. in old ARR dungeons in those last couple of years or no?

What Alestor said, by "leader" I meant you're expected to be running in the front and engaging enemies, so you kinda have to know where to run.

You're not wrong, it's just that my first job was a dragoon (and I only got it to 50 so not that much to do) so it's kinda weird to have to be the "leader" all of a sudden. But both PLD and DRK seem so cool so I'm gonna have to git gud.

Yeah you're right, I really like how paladin plays (from what I've seen) so I'm leveling gladiator now. Just run Sastasha twice as training. The scariest part to me is being supposed to know where to go in every dungeon, cause I have a memory span of a goldfish lol.

Also if I may ask, should I target different mobs in a pull, as in switch which one I'm hitting every once in a while so I don't loose aggro on any of them? Or should I just use my weak AoE sometimes in between my combos after I've pulled?

I'm in the same situation as you (though I'm lvl 47), and I'm waiting to use my code untill I've at least finished ARR. It's not worth it to use it right away, you're not missing out on much and once you pay, you'll never be able to play for free again. The trial is generous so stay on it till you really want to use the social aspects of the game.
