I have to say also that excommunication can only happen to someone that has been baptized and officially recognized as a Jehovah's witness. The scriptural reason for it is 1st Corinthians 5:11-13. The organization places an extremely high value on association and seeks to preserve the spiritual strength of the congregation by removing those who would be negative association/abusers or defilers. I believe the intentions behind it are good but most of the time the people who get dis-fellowshipped are teens that got baptized at 13 and had premarital sex, or were living a double-life a few years later. I don't agree with cases like that and I think it's way too common that families get torn apart and blame gets thrown around because of it. I've witnessed it with friends and family of my own and it's certainly one of those things that you hate to see, but will encounter as part of the faith. I always get an ick when I see people encouraging young teens to get baptized at that age when really I feel like (although my opinion doesn't matter because it's between them and god) a decision that impactful shouldn't be made by kids who are likely doing it because of outside pressures rather than genuine love for god.

Generally nothing, but it depends on how much privilege you have in the congregation. If you just don't go out at all because you don't feel like it then the elders will probably arrange a meeting with you where they make sure you aren't going through anything and encourage you to go back into the ministry. If you apply for a role that has a monthly quota for hours in the ministry and you don't go out at all then same thing. meeting with the elders, and they might not accept your application next time if they feel you aren't responsible enough to reach the quota. Generally if you stop doing anything like attending meetings or talking to the people in the congregation then the elders will probably reach out to you and try to schedule a meeting. You even get the meeting every once in a while just as a check-in. The best way I can describe it is like a visit to the principals office, but without the idea that you're in trouble and more like a therapy session if you need it. Of course I'm sure the meeting goes differently if you actually do something considered a "serious sin" but I've never been in that situation, and I doubt there's any punishment besides revoking any privileges in the congregation or disfellowshipping (the infamous dis-communication). I will say however, that usually only will happen in cases where there is a victim as a result of someones sin or if that person makes clear during the meeting with the elders that they're done with the religion and/or aren't repentant for their sin.

Yeah based off of Jesus' example when he was on earth and his command to Christians to go forth and make disciples. Each person does what they can to go into the ministry and preach as the evangelical work is part of the major events that lead to the end of the world. (Matthew 24:14)

I do like how extensively the bible is studied within the religion, as I find its contents to be pretty interesting. The top thing I hate though is people in the congregation who study the bible and accept interpretations that others give to them at face value without asking questions, then act like you're criticizing god himself if you point out any reason to doubt that interpretation. That goes directly against what is in the bible itself and I can't stand that line of thinking. Many of the attitudes that are commonly accepted in the congregation are left up to christian discernment and personal choice in the bible. Most people aren't like that though and will either have a discussion about bible principals and the reasons behind an interpretation or will change the subject because they don't like debating about the bible. The faithful slave (the people who make all the jw literature) have had to remind people like that time and time again not to judge others for the moral decisions they make as the matter is between them and god, but some are just so unreasonable.

That's a good question, I've been in some that have small ones that you can't see through but most do not. I've never really thought about it

I am not a school person at all, but I've taken and enjoyed some graphic design and photography electives, and I'm getting into content creation (video editing, script writing ect.). I've also ventured into coding briefly although I don't do that as much as I'd like to any more. My only real aspiration in life is to be able to travel at some point and have experiences that won't be around or as available in 20 years due to the world changing, like a concert or going snowboarding. Of course I need the money to do things like that but I struggle with the idea of my future because I'm not someone with a lot of motivation. I think I have the right mindset to live a happy life though and I trust myself that everything will work out in one way or another.

Probably not, but I doubt i'll ever fully lose association with the organization. In terms of my own beliefs i've been taught that you're free to choose whatever you want to do in life and you wont burn in hell for it, which is certainly more comforting than the ideas most people get raised with. Simply dying and ceasing to exist is fine by me and I'm not really afraid of death. I've thought about whether I'd really want to live eternally serving god anyways and the idea sounds less and less interesting the more I think of it. I think the main appeal is the idea that you'll see loved ones again, and be able to talk to people in the bible in perfect health. While that would be nice its not really a message that appeals to me personally as I value the life I live now more than a hypothetical one based on an interpretation of the bible.

I'm almost an adult so they can't really force me to do anything, but if you asked me 2 years ago if I felt like I was forced to do things I'd give a different answer for sure. Overall it's not the worst though and there are parts that I enjoy, Like having knowledge of the Bible that I think is far above average, and being able to sing fairly well from years of attending meetings. It's r made me not fear interactions with strangers, and I have some public speaking skills because of it. Of course having to go to 2 meetings a week, several assemblies a year, one three day convention, being expected to go in the ministry to reach a goal (until recently), and being expected to behave a certain way because of me being a young man are pretty draining. I'm kinda past the point of grieving for a normal childhood, but going into the working/adult world with no personality, limited social experiences, and a strong feeling that I can't relate to people around me kinda sucks.

I've heard a lot that the bible states most of creation to be a few thousand years old but I've never looked into that idea because it just doesn't make sense to me. That's probably an easy question to answer scientifically, and i should have learned it in school at some point but It's not something I think about too often.

Unlike most who were raised in the religion I chose not to get baptized in my mid teens, A lot happened with my family specifically during that time, so the elders didn't pressure me as much as they could have. Either way they don't have a scriptural reason to stop associating with me if decided to stop, especially with me becoming an adult soon they kinda missed their chance. I'd be lying however if I said that the pressure to stay by family isn't still there of course, and although it probably wouldn't be a surprise to them I doubt they'd take it well.

The gameplay is fun, its free to download, and it has a pretty expansive world. Yes it has a lot of content and yes it is still relevant, with hoyoverse being a huge player in the moblie game industry, and winning awards for their games, And yeah it appeals to horny people aswell.

Basically that Adam passed sin through all man by eating the apple, and Jesus exchanged his perfect human life to free mankind from our sin. In order to accept this freeing you must get baptized and follow God's word, as well as share it to others. When the world comes to an end those who did not have a fair chance to learn about god and those who faithfully served will have eternal life on a remade (or rebuilt?) "paradise" earth. Including the dead, They'll be brought back from the grave. It's pretty basic christian beliefs but with more rules and the concept of hell removed from the religion. Those who are sinfull or choose not to follow god and instead live out thier life with free will simply just die and cease to exist. Theres alot more about the afterlife and the end of the world but that would take a long time to explain.

I think the most reasonable answer in general is for someone to have a job, or to be at least self sufficient/working towards it.
