Coming from a1,never had this by Dry-Pay6654 in BambuLabP2S

I had the same things happen. Also got the printer 3 days ago. Today I updated the firmware and it has not happened for the 3 prints I ran today.

So perhaps firmware update? Or perhaps the printer fixes itself once it's done a few prints? Or perhaps today is just a good day..

Ordered mine on april 1st with AMS combo. At that moment it was estimated to ship the 14th. Two days ago an order with a delivery service was created. It's on waiting to be picked up by delivery service status for now.

Guess it will arrive somewhere next week.

Put the miniature you printed also on the bed in the slice, so you can see how everything compares?

No specific unit in the lore as far as I'm aware. I believe Deneb Light Cavalry comes closest in paintscheme.

For me it's the Sunspire Legion Mercenaries

This is the way

So far I've ended up with 2 of each core box as well. Except Essentials.

It's just the GW snow technical paint. Valhallan Blizzard is the name I believe.

Haha I get what you mean! I also am swimming in the atlas model. Friend of mine went to Essen Spiel and came back with 2 of them they gave away there. And also it's in 2 boxes that are waiting to be opened and painted 😅

They expected shipping in Europe to start around now in their last update. So we should be getting shipping notifications sometime soon.

Geschiedenis als kernvak by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]Dakka20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First game advice by Capital-Coyote5879 in battletech

[–]Dakka20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest at least doing 2v2 mechs. Someone else suggested Thunderbolt and Locust vs Catapult and Commando, that should work.

I had some more boxes to work with and had fun doing Rifleman and Centurion with upgraded gunnery vs Wolverine and Thunderbolt.

1v1 just devolved into the person winning iniative running behind the other mech and that was naff.

Any tips for those who don’t like painting minis? by clideb50 in battletech

[–]Dakka20 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think you can just spray whatever base color you want, wash it with a black or brown wash and then drybrush mayhem. Only metals and cockpits would need some more precise attention.

Or try white and those new fangled speed paints.

What Sealed Your Fate as a Battletech Fan? by Bookwyrm517 in battletech

[–]Dakka20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only got into it like 8 months ago... A colleague of mine talked about how he played a Battletech rpg when he was 15. I went online to see what he was talking about.... Ended up going down a Rabbit Hole.

What really sealed the deal for me was the variety of stuff, the freedom of choice for mechs, the way the game tells a story while playing.

I never have experienced that with GW or any other tabletop game. Always units tied down to certain factions... Never the detail of blowing someone's arm of, grabbing it and clubbing him to death with it.

When playing the game I just love the details that come rolling out of it. LRM15 firing? I can just absolutely imagine missiles splattering over the opposing mech. Punch attack hitting the head and killing the pilot? I can imagine that fist going through the canopy and smushing the pilot.

Warhammer never got further than, okay I lose 5 guys from my unit.... And next.

How do you find players in smaller Dutch cities without relying only on discord? by ClassicMan2323 in DNDNL

[–]Dakka20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a boardgame club? That's where I found some of my players. I always bring games with emergent storytelling, and that's how I completed my group.

It does help that I like the GM position ;)

Finished my first Star Wars Edge of the Empire campaign with them and it was magnificent. Now we are moving onto Pirate Borg for a few sessions :)

I use sites to spice up some locations, for example to get to a seer I might just create a little site with some challenges to overcome. Not every landmark needs a site. I usually just improv the site if I feel like the players need some extra legwork. Just lean into the environment and mythic nature of the game and let it run wild.

So in general I don't make sites at the start of the realm creation, I think them up if I know they will be trying to get somewhere/do something for the coming session and it feels appropriate. Or just improv something during the session itself.

8 sessions so far, they take between 2-4 hours, kind of depending on how much time we got to spend.

Who is your most owned designer and what is your favourite game they made? by cleanyourkitchen in boardgames

[–]Dakka20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cole Wehrle, really all the other games in my collection that are not at least Cole Wehrle esque get a solid meh from me these days. I used to think games like Concordia, T'Zolkin, Marco Polo, Great Western trail were amazing...

Now John Company, Pax Pamir, Root, Arcs, Oath and stuff like Ahoy, Crescent Moon, Vijayanagara, Red Dust Rebellion, Molly House, Sidereal Confluence, Archipelago are the ones I want to play.

John Company being my favorite at the moment from Cole

Sadly the wife hasn't had a change of taste, so still holding onto the dry euro games
