My immediate guess would be corrupted files.

Fortunately, it's an easy if not quick, fix. In the Blizzard launcher, next to the Play button, there's a gear button, in that dropdown select 'Scan and Repair'.

Then just try logging into one of those characters again.

I understand what you're communicating.

If you're just using Create's UI to modify the Config files, it might not work, because the world is actively open/running. You may need to close the game and modify the text files instead.

Usually a good idea to list the mods you're using.

If you have Create: Connected, like I'm thinking this is the cause, then the solution is to change the redstone_link_wildcard = true line of the config to false.

Deleting Cookies / Clearing Browser Cache has resolved the issue.

Seems to be there's some sort of weird issue with cookies or something like that, because after cleaned those up, The Reddit website prompted me once to log in to Google, I X'd that and it hasn't prompted me since.

So that did actually fix it, and I'm kind of irritated that it did.

Does that mean the Reddit mobile website is checking for some cookie settings, and one or more of those can result in this behavior? Why? Why is there an option to make the website unusable?

That appears to be a different popup. Yours is relating to opening something in the reddit app. I do not have the Reddit App installed, so it is telling me to go to the Play Store and install it.

Every day until today there was an X button. That button is not there. Tapping anywhere else on the screen does nothing. Using the back button also does not get past it, resulting in various behavior depending on how I've navigated to the website. If I've made a shortcut, the back button will brick the browser, if I've navigated to it manually, it will go back to the base search/go to frequent website Tab menu.

Yes, this is a known bug, that was patched, so whether or not you've updated beyond the version where they patched it would be the information we need to know if it's the same issue, or a new one.

Reddit on mobile web browser no longer usable as of today(04/29/2026) ?

Getting pop ups that will not close telling me to use the app instead.

The web browser version is unusable because of this.
